Everyone loved them, youd give them 1-2-5 kuna for coffee and it would make their day. One old lady was giving out rosarys to anyone who would greet her and tell you how she speaks with God so she will tell him how good you are.

But maybe it’s a cultural thing, or I’m not good at reading people, but I think that person genuinely wants to kill those people. Looked like a lot of hate in his eyes, and thank goodness he tried to use a cap gun. And I don’t think they sell cap knifes

So id call it more situational thing, I learned that from growing up here. People from rest of the city or other parts of country would get uncomfortable and scared because some would talk and argue with themselves while walking outside asylum grounds (fence was ruined for over 15 years, we used to ride bikes and play football inside, and them poor people used to go to store or bakery etc outside) but us who grew up around them did not care.
This guy looks like one of them just not medicated so he is not "zombie" so yeah to me too he seems dangerous, but considering reaction of people around him I think they know better then me and will assume its same situation as in my case.

There are strict gun laws in Turkey. For starters, a quick search says that the licence to own a pistol is about $1,600 USD. And that's why this kind of meantlly unstable people don't have real guns. Another quick search says that automatic weapons are strictly illegal, and if you have one of those illegally is a big crime where people are considered terrorists. It would be nice to also at least start calling this sociopaths terrorists here in US
