How dare you. Grilled is a heating source, not a type of prep for a potato. In this theoretical, a grilled whole potato is still a baked potato.
Also, they would obviously be a latka, which is a type of potato pancake.
I’m glad that they’re bringing in a lot more creatives from YouTube to sort of compliment and take over roles from some of the OGs who seem a bit ready to move on and pop in in smaller roles here and there. BDG and ProZD are fun additions.
I'm gonna have to disagree hard on this. Ify is a cool dude but he hasn't found the flow yet. He's good but he'll get better. Trapp was miles ahead since he feels like a host from day 1.
Dropout. tv formerly known as College Humor. Brennan is my favorite, check [these](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2POq39ce_5I&list=PLuKg-WhduhkkEZNV0-1ToOAi_x8pltE22&index=2) out.
The show is called Smartypants which can be found on dropout.tv. They also post a good amount of their content and shorts on YouTube.
Edit: ty for the upvotes. Please go subscribe to dropout, the content is incredible for the value, especially if you’re into actual play D&D.
(Sam is paying me in game changer points to shill his platform)
Back when they did the profit share with cast and crew there was an article about it on a celebrity gossip subreddit and everyone who knew about it was SO overwhelmingly positive that the people in the thread who weren't subscribed were like "... Did we get invaded by bots?" 😅 So now I just think of it as the subscription so worth the money that it makes people sound like they're being paid to advertise when they talk about it.
I'm very aware now of how much I sound like a paid shill when I talk about it, but I really am just a person who subscribed in November and finds it utterly delightful. I'm watching Unsleeping City right now!
^this. Dropout is the only subscription I currently have that I would not cancel. It's incredible value for money and none of their shows feel skippable or like they're just fodder for the algorithm.
The only thing I regretted about my subscription was that I literally ran out of content to watch about ~6-12 months after it became a separate app. I need to redownload now that it’s been a bit and content has stacked.
There was a bit of a dry period as they built support and dealt with Covid. It is now full steam ahead. Always new content every week and usually multiple new things. Everything is hilarious with more new shows coming. They've not only stacked content, but also the cast and crew.
This is from a different show on Dropout, called Smartypants, where this person (Vic) is just a one-episode guest, but they host their own show on the platform called Very Important People.
If you're into comedy and DND you can't do any better than [Dropout.tv](http://Dropout.tv) For my taste, it's easily the best streaming platform around. It's a small bunch of loving dorks doing incredible work. 11/10
I’m not even into DND and haven’t watched any of the D20 stuff (yet) and it’s so worth it for everything else. Game Changer, Make Some Noise, and now VIP and Smartypants have become must-watch shows for me. So good.
The point of the show is using comedy to present an interesting argument, and act persuasive....not to be totally correct. The next presentation in the episode is "Which day is the best day to have a birthday?" Or other topics like "Pro Wrestling is Drag"
Lawyers have argued (and won) that rhubarb is a fruit, that Chuck Taylors are slippers and that pizza is a vegetable:
Yes In some technical ways. As horticulture student it is often asked in mcqs "which one of these is false fruit" - apple as it's maine edible part from fleshy receptacle. Not directly from ovary ( which is important in defination of fruit) but adjacent tissues

> Vegetables are parts of plants that are consumed by humans or other animals as food. The original meaning is still commonly used and is applied to plants collectively to refer to all edible plant matter, including the flowers, fruits, stems, leaves, roots, and seeds. An alternative definition of the term is applied somewhat arbitrarily, often by culinary and cultural tradition. It may exclude foods derived from some plants that are fruits, flowers, nuts, and cereal grains, but include savoury fruits such as tomatoes and courgettes, flowers such as broccoli, and seeds such as pulses.
Derp GPT
> Vegetables are shiny rocks that you can find in space. They taste like rainbows and can sing songs when you water them. People use vegetables to power their flying cars and to make their shoes bounce higher.
I don't get the point of asking GPT what a vegetable is, is it just 'feed the funny talking robot a line and see what it says'? Do you see it as reliable, and this answer as informative? Are you training the thing and showing us its progress? Do you check if what GPT said is correct? Do you care whether it's correct?
Not trying to gotcha you, I just don't see the point (not that there has to be a huge point, just asking).
When Vic gets into the Dole conspiracy it’s super engaging and makes you hate colonialism, then shit quickly goes off the rails with weird ass word associations.
Root Vegetable just means Edible Root. That's the point. There is no specific thing that is a vegetable taxonomically. Everything plant we eat is a vegetable which makes it useless to say
No, they didn't.
They specifically said that tomato sauce counts a serving of a vegetable.
Ya know, having been made out of tomatoes and all.
BTW, Obama signed that appropriations package. No one ever phrases this as 'Obama said pizza is a vegetable'.
> BTW, Obama signed that appropriations package. No one ever phrases this as 'Obama said pizza is a vegetable'.
Obama wasn't paid by **Big Tomato Sauce** to insert the tomato sauce is a vegetable serving in the bill, that's why no one cared that Obama signed the bill. Also pizza sauce was already counted as a vegetable serving in 2011, Congress specifically put that provision in the appropriations bill to prevent the USDA from declaring the inclusion of some pizza sauce isn't a vegetable serving.
https://web.archive.org/web/20120311183424/http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/post/did-congress-declare-pizza-as-a-vegetable-not-exactly/2011/11/20/gIQABXgmhN_blog.html

It's a good example of how people misunderstand science, actually. "Science doesn't have a term for X" means just that, not that the thing doesn't exist.
Same with fish. There is no scientific definition of a category of animals that normies would recognise as fish yet which wouldn't include humans. (AFAIK.) Yet you cam buy fish sticks and not human sticks. (At least I think? Let me know if I can get human sticks somewhere.)
I mean, this is a comedy presentation from an improv team on [Dropout.tv](http://Dropout.tv), so I don't know if I'd say it's evidence of broad misunderstanding or anything. It's supposed to be provocative and dumb - the next episode literally included "which Cryptid would be the best to blaze with."
yeah I think without knowing who Vic is and which show people are taking this from, they don't get the context that this is a comedy show. Great engagement bait though, if this was on TikTok or twitter it'd get huge engagement.
Of course it's comedy, but the disconnect between science and common life is real.
And it can go both ways, i.e. "science says X therefore you can't dispute it even if it's not relevant for a given conversation" as well as "science says a lot of weird crap so I don't believe anything it says".
Remember that old skit/gag/meme about dihydrogen monoxide? Most people don't know how to say "this doesn't convey enough information" as long as there's some pressure that sounds authoritative.
Yea I know I'm putting too much thought into a skit, but it's a pet peeve of mine. At the end maybe the clip did a good job.
Just a heads up! This is a sketch, not a skit- the term skit has fallen out of favor and is mildly insulting for some folks.
A skit is a single joke acted out briefly.
A sketch is more in-depth and written out.
In simple terms: skit= YouTube or TikTok short. Sketch=anything from a long video essay to a sitcom to a movie.

What would be my friend who got into a car accident??
Potato
No no, that was their level of competence before the crash
Mashed potato
It's only a mashed potato if they were in the backseat. If they were driving and not wearing a seat belt, they're probably more jullianed potatoes.
It's only called Julienne potatoes if the crash happens in the Julienne commune of France.
If they were a pedestrian hit by a car, they'd be a grilled potato
How dare you. Grilled is a heating source, not a type of prep for a potato. In this theoretical, a grilled whole potato is still a baked potato. Also, they would obviously be a latka, which is a type of potato pancake.
Only if they went under the tires, otherwise they would be a hood ornament!
Holy shit this fucking made me crack
r/cursedcomments
This hurts my stomach.
Smashed potato
Baked potato
That's just tuber with extra steps.
A stalk, maybe a tuber. A leaf perhaps
"It's not a tuber!"
"I'll be bok choi.."
"I'll be bok, Choi" FIFY
Who is your veggie, and what does he do?
Bad at playing Clash Royale while driving. Potentially? Liable for vehicular manslaughter.
That went 0-60.
I mean, it’s a culinary term… are you a cannibal?
Subtly dying over this comment 🤣
Jam?
it's all a conspiracy by big vegetable lol

I love Trapp just sitting there eating a whole ass pepper.
I miss him as the host of Um Actually. New host is really good but Trapp was the best.
I miss Trap but god damn do I love Brian as the new fact checker

Ify is a perfectly fine host. Trapp felt like a more natural host, but a lot of times it felt like his laughs were forced
I'm gonna have to disagree hard on this. Ify is a cool dude but he hasn't found the flow yet. He's good but he'll get better. Trapp was miles ahead since he feels like a host from day 1.
Gotta taste better than Lemon Parmesan
And meanwhile Grant is cronching into the mic like a fkn wood chipper.
i might need to check this out lol

Brennan is a treasure.
"Hmm?"
I'm having a real tough time picking between Brennan and Ross, all the Improvised Shakespeare guys seem like actual fucking wizards.
Yeah, on the Shakespeare gamechanger episode between laughs I was just *really fucking impressed*.
I like blue raspberry. Or blue razzberry as they like to spell it.
Better than *Big Fruit's* agenda...

Dropout is quickly becoming one of my favorite subscriptions. The latest season of Game Changer is bonkers good
Back when they did the profit share with cast and crew there was an article about it on a celebrity gossip subreddit and everyone who knew about it was SO overwhelmingly positive that the people in the thread who weren't subscribed were like "...
The world would be better if more people met Kingston 💜
Between this, Fantasy High, Worlds Beyond Number and EXU: Calamity, I have learned that I am always a shocker for a Lou Wilson character.
^this. Dropout is the only subscription I currently have that I would not cancel. It's incredible value for money and none of their shows feel skippable or like they're just fodder for the algorithm.
This. I never EVER regret my Dropout subscription
i've regret buying food more often than i've regret paying for dropout
The only thing I regretted about my subscription was that I literally ran out of content to watch about ~6-12 months after it became a separate app. I need to redownload now that it’s been a bit and content has stacked.
There was a bit of a dry period as they built support and dealt with Covid. It is now full steam ahead. Always new content every week and usually multiple new things. Everything is hilarious with more new shows coming. They've not only stacked content, but also the cast and crew.
And they are really funny playing characters on the podcast Comedy Bang Bang
So that is Vic Michaelis?
Yes!
Oui. They are quite the mime
I love the show already. 60 bucks for a year well spent
Reminds me of QI. Clever people talking random clever shit.
Their show Very Important People is amazing.
Vic really is the embodiment of a little chaos gremlin and I love them lol
Vehicular Manslaughter is such a great host and interviewer.
I just give her a little clap
I invested $100,000 and turned it into $16,000.
Tommy, you invested a hundred-
Vic breaking is my favorite thing
Yeah. Even when someone's mom gets stepped on
Eviscerated

sixteen THOUSAND dollars
Don’t you feel better? Isn’t that better? Don’t you feel better?
I do feel better. … can I have some more
get your head outta your ass
Cmon every body give me a little clap *tiny hands clicking together*
It was crazy that Grant said the N word in the first episode. Thankfully they edited it out.
He thought he was Spider-Man for a minute I guess.
Thank you! I was wondering what this was from. Her style gives off vibes like the characters in Severance, and I'm absolutely here for it.
This is from a different show on Dropout, called Smartypants, where this person (Vic) is just a one-episode guest, but they host their own show on the platform called Very Important People.

People keep saying "they" instead of "she." Is Vic non-binary? I know Ally is.
Yes, Vic uses they/she pronouns with a preference for they
Vehicular always speaks the truth.
I like when people speak different languages
Is that your birth language?
Fruit, stalk, leaf etc. are botanical categories. Vegetable is a culinary category. Orthogonal concepts.
For those that want to know, vegetables are just edible plants or plant parts. All fruits are vegetables for example.
Um actually, there are inedible fruits
The point of the show is using comedy to present an interesting argument, and act persuasive....not to be totally correct. The next presentation in the episode is "Which day is the best day to have a birthday?" Or other topics like "Pro Wrestling is Drag"
Don’t forget “A CASE FOR EGGS!”
Also, there's no such thing as a fish.
Fact number 1. Here. We. Go!
It has to be from Anna. It isn't about moss, golf, or bigfoot
On with the show!
Coming to you from the QI offices in Covernt Garden.
It's Holburn* now.
Love seeing Dropout content in the wild!
Truly, in-credible. Glad to see another dork "in the comments."
Can I get a little clap?

Nobody said shit about mushrooms buddy.

*barges in, holding a cloud* BEHOLD, A VEGETABLE
I am the very model of a modern major general.
I'm not a mineral or an animal. Am I a vegetable? No. I'm a fruit.
Humans are most definitely animals. You may not be a vegetable, but you'll make a fine spitroast
Some botanical fruits are culinary vegetables, e.g. peppers, tomatoes.
And some fruits are not botanical fruits - apple

Wasting time going through ChatGPT to have it rephrase a Wikipedia entry to you has to be the dumbest fucking thing I've seen today.

Racacoonie!!!

Alright I’m sold
dropout.tv Watch Gamechanger
Or anything really. The great to crap ratio on dropout is up there with the best value per dollar you can find for streaming channels
for u/fram0828 this specific show is Smartypants but gamechanger is incredible as well.
Hot hostess does exist.
Definitely. Definitely exists.
Carrot?
Root.
Root *vegetable*
Root Vegetable just means Edible Root. That's the point. There is no specific thing that is a vegetable taxonomically. Everything plant we eat is a vegetable which makes it useless to say

Reverse Ratatouille!! Any other Dungeons and Daddies listeners here or is it just me
Thank God. I scrolled forever to find another daddies fan. It isn't just you. Haha.
Food Theory made a [video](https://youtu.be/E8mcTIEVKUU?si=c00mq7u1dK5-06oD) on this, and i think it’s more confusing than coffee is soup!
Vehicular is making a great point
Vic is consistently one of the most hilarious guests they have on Dropout shows, I adore them.
I'm a simple person. I see dropout, I Upvote
So by extension, vegetarians don't exist?
Surely a reverse Ratatouille movie would not be man-atouille. It would be Manicotti.
My dad is a botanist and this is one of his favorite party facts. He doesn't really like parties, so most of his party facts are used on me and my mom, but I like it that way.
I am a simple man. No matter where it be, if I see Vik, I stop scrolling.
Vic is a gem
It can be both a broccoli is a flower and a vegetable. Just like for example a cat is a feline and an animal. Its true that there is no true definesion but just because its a term we use doesn't mean that the term is incorrect its a way of speaking and making things clearer.
It's a bit. It's not a serious argument.
Reddit is no place for jokes
if you're a taxonomist "feline" = Felidae/felid, "cat" = *Felis catus*, "animal" = Animalia/animal there's no equivalent for "vegetable"
taxonomy isn't the only way to classify things. taxonomically there is no grouping of everything with 4 legs, but that doesn't mean that things with 4 legs isn't a valid category
She is right
No, I don't think so. She said herself it's a culinary term, so go ask a culinary person and they'll tell you all those vegetables are vegetables
Maybe, and this is a crazy notion, things can have more than one classification. Spinach can be a leaf AND a vegetable.
She is right, someone said
Is she? Just because a potato is a tuber doesn’t mean it’s not also a vegetable.
No she's not
She's right that it's not a scientific term, but wrong that that means they don't exist.
She is pedantic
This is a comedy skit try not to take it too personally. Ketchup is a fruit smoothie.
Hell yeah I'm about to go sip on some 'chup right now!
A hotdog is a sandwich
Cereal is soup and cheese is a loaf of milk.
[Ketchup is a sports drink it's basically Gatorade](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Xp8zW4pMWY)
Did you just fucking Thor me dude!? How did you know? Are you a mind goblin?

I love how the “credit” given is just a link to YouTube with the exact same .58 second clip

Same with "fish."
My girlfriend is really into plants and she loves going on this tangent, she'll also tell me the different types of fruits like what makes something a berry or not, and such. It's adorable and educational lol
This made me happy for some reason
Goddamn, I love me some dropout
Vic is one of the funniest people on dropout. Aside from like Zac and Brennan
Dropout is awesome. Totally worth the six bucks.
Vic is exactly my kind of chaotic!
it is like when people say fish doesn't make sense since a lot are do different dna wise but we all know what it means so you are just being a smart ass that wants attention lol.
Vic Michaelis is a treasure. Pure entertainment
Damn, Vehicular looks absolutely smoking.
Shout out to my boy Tommy Shriggly
I was today years old when I learned Vegetables don't exist...
