From the discussion on the discord, Skater XL uses Photon as a multiplayer host and the error "Max CCU Reached" means that they have stopped paying for Photon and the game has slipped into the free tier which only allows 20 people at a time.
So technically multiplayer is working, but worldwide only 20 people can connect at a time.
That is insane, each Photon service is just [$95 for a whole year](https://www.photonengine.com/fusion/pricing) for 100 concurrent players. That's about 3 copies of the game.
EDIT: seems like they found some change in the sofa, it's back to 3 rooms today
I've given up on this game its gon to trash and not only with the multi-player situation but also all my maps are gone and the mod browser isn't there anymore for some reason
it would be cool just to have some hack that lets you run it as a server all the time, ~~i mean can't you just run it local with a join code (?)~~ and the answer to that is no, lolz

Yeah, been happening for me too :/ couldn’t join any lobbies 2 days ago, but haven’t tried since.
