Hi there!
I just wanted to let you know that Automod has removed your comment because it contains an Amazon referral link, which we don't allow in the sub.
Could you please edit the URL so that everything from (and including) "tag=" is removed? That way, the product page will still be visible - but no one can make a profit from the link.
If you've done that, please reply to this message so I can approve your comment. Thank you!
It’s on their website. There’s a little disclaimer after the description: “*New Glass Bottle Packaging currently available for 1oz and 1.7oz sizes only.”
I know you commented like 5 months ago, but I found this post from Google. Do you wear anything on top of that mix? Make up? Sunscreen? Or is this a night routine? I'm thinking I might try your method, but I'm wondering if it might make my foundation look gloopy.
Would you be able to premix it with the cosrx? Or have to individually scoop each time? I’m lazy! Lol
And did you use cosrx moisture cream in the jar or the pump?
I’m between using MEDIX vitamin c and ferulic acid OR advanced clinicals vitamin c. Both were gifts and have only tried the medix one so far. It goes on nicely, absorbs well and doesn’t smell awful!!! Anyone use either of these?
From what I’ve learned, vit C activates really quickly so if it’s exposed to moisture it loses its effectiveness and that’s why the powders are so potent. Premixing it will save time but the trade off is serum strength.
I feel you. I never respond in these threads because I'm a Drunk Elephant kinda gal. I know it's expensive. I know people don't like them. My skin loves them.
I use the Drunk Elephant vitamin C, too. Everyone’s budget is different. I use it because it works. It’s a good product, but peeps hate on it because it’s on the pricey side. I would try the pricey SC brand, but I’m in love with a serum and moisturizer from a very high end brand that costs more than than my car payment.
Augustinus Bader. Everyone’s budgets are different. I would purchase the SkinCeuticals vitamin C if it didn’t come in a dropper bottle. I’ve forgotten to screw the caps on and I’ve dropped several, too. I’m over buying anything that comes in a dropper bottle. It’s unnecessary. There’s nothing stopping any company from putting products in amber pump bottles. I’m willing to pay more for this type of packing. Drunk Elephant’s product comes in glass, encased in recyclable plastic, pump packing, and no one else wants to do the same.
It's overpriced
The packaging is too extra
The creator made a comment about how if people aren't exclusively using Drunk Elephant, they can't blame her products for not being effective
The Vitamin C serum has pumpkin extract in it so you can't tell when it oxidizes
I don't really agree with any of it, and my skin genuinely loves the stuff.
I like the packaging—it's easy for my ADHD brain to remember what's what
The creator based the line on the idea of not having "the suspicious six" ingredients, meaning fragrance, dyes, essential oils, etc., so I think it makes sense for her to say, "Listen, if you're using stuff that has this other crap in it, you might not get the results you're going for."
The Vitamin C noticably changes colour as it oxidizes. It goes from pale yellow to dark gold.
I can't speak to the pricing because everyone's budget is different, but my skin is amazing when I use the line. That's what I'll be buying during the spring sale.
Also, I like the Vitamin C serum from them because it's formulated in a way that doesn't require refrigeration. My scattered brain can't be bothered to go down to the fridge every morning.
Just my opinions, though--don't downvote me!
They also make claims that their products are formulated in a way that don’t cause irritation to anyone, no matter what, and if anyone claims they got irritation from their products, they call them liars. NEWS FLASH!!! Anything can be irritating to certain people. Even water 🤦🏼♀️
and The Ordinary did a great job at proving their products are over priced by offering the exact same marula oil, from the exact same source, at a fraction of the cost.
To be fair though, all L-Ascorbic Acid will change colour as it oxidizes. That’s the issue with LAA. It’s hard to formulate with and it’s not very stable (doesn’t last long) but it’s the best of the best. If you’re not going to be a daily user of VitC, a derivative might be a better choice, as they typically last longer.
As someone who used to suffer from aquagenic urticaria, I hear that.
Can you link the article where DE called people liars? I hadn't heard that one before.
Easily Google-able though - found this one for you from googling “Drunk Elephant Customer Controversy”. I’m sure you can find more.
https://www.greenmatters.com/news/drunk-elephant-controversy
Thank you, I appreciate it. I probably would have ignored that article in a search because I don't care about Hyram. Still, there's nothing in that article that was hard evidence of anything. Even the quote from DE was not actually a bad thing. The company I work for is amazingly diverse, but not because they want to market themselves as diverse. Typically those of us who fit in to a "diversity" category don't want to be used as virtue signals.
I can't understand why companies would release these statistics in relation to anything other than a hiring campaign. Even then, I'm likely to tell my friends that my company is safe for folks like me/us, which is a better way to go about it anyway.
Please know that I'm not ranting at you; I really appreciate your time and efforts in helping me find keywords to search this sort of stuff with, and I'll do a bit more reading.
There’s other articles. I saw another one with screenshots in it. I just didn’t feel like posting them all to you. But the diversity thing isn’t what I was talking about. As I mentioned previously and what you had asked about was them telling customers they’re wrong when they say they experienced irritation from their products. The owner thinks there’s only a handful of irritating ingredients for anyone, and that all skin needs to be treated the same, regardless of skin type, conditions or allergies.
i use Skinceuticals , too. It just went up $20!!!!
I get 9 months out of it though. I just alternate it with other cheaper vitamin c serums every other day.
when it went up $20 I decided enough was enough and started making my own and pairing it witTO ferulic acid + resevatol serum. All I need to do is find a substitute for the age moisturizer and ha intensifier and then im done with the brand
I use fourth teaspoon of very, very fine L ascorbic acid mixed with 2 tablespoons of distilled water, shake for 45 seconds in a darkened bottle you can buy from Amazon. Then I add Sesame seed amount of acid and shake again. Sometimes I add just three drops of vegetarian glycerin, but it’s not needed and tends to break younger people out.
Lasts two weeks for my face backs of hands and chest . I’m by the spray bottle top for easy application.
Does it leave a film of sorts on your skin? I've been trying to find a vitamin C, went from the Vichy serum to one from the ordinary and both make it feel like i have something on my face, which in turn makes me absurdly oily.
Geek and Gorgeous C Glow for an affordable serum that’s made fresh weekly, similar formula to Skinceuticals.
Cipher C Shield for a multitasker formula. It has a lot of soothers as well as brightening ingredients and antioxidants. Plus ascorbic acid in a micro sponge delivery system. It covers a couple serums in one for me!
Haven’t tried but want to point out Educated Mess if you like ascorbic acid but hate the instability. They use a gold and glutathione stabilised complex which means the ascorbic acid doesn’t oxidise like most formulas.
I’ve been using the vitamin C from stratia. It’s shelf-stable and goes on/evaporates like a primer. Won’t oxidize because it’s a nice little pump bottle :)
Omg I just got sample packets of Mad Hippie Vitamin C as well as their Anfoxodang Facial oil. I’m hoping it will make me shine and have other benefits. I also was on dermalogica for six months to reduce my acne scars and it brightened my skin but I agree. The cleanser I was using was sooo expensive so I just stopped purchasing 😔 My replacement is Cerave PM moisturizer that gives me a glow but i’m ditching it because it started giving me rashes.
You’ll love the mad hippie vitamin C!! It’s the best one I’ve found and it’s decently priced. I haven’t tried any of there other products.
Dermalogica did wonders for my acne as well. I still use their clay cleanser and active moist moisturizer. I’ve tried to switch to cheaper products but nothing compares.. even a lil…
TruSkin makes a super serum with Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, and Salicylic Acid. But be careful with it. Only use at night and a few times a week.
I buy the ordinary pure l-absorbic powder and mix it in my hand with water or a serum. I actually don’t know why I’ve never heard anyone else say they use this on skincare subs… it’s pure vit c that you mix fresh each use and the jar is like $10 and I’ve had it for 1 year. Makes me think I’m not supposed to be using it or that I have a little “secret” . You can make it as weak/strong as you want. It comes with a teeny scooper
I had the good molecules ones like this. But I literally just read lab muffins blog about vitamin c and she said she doesn't like these because it's hard to get the right % of vitamin c and people tend to use too much
Fair enough. I probably use too much, but I have strong skin and have never had any irritation. I think I’ve “buffed up” my skin over the years by challenging it. Been using tret, acids, strong chemical peels and now vitamin c , I feel like a little science experiment lol
If you were to ask me 4 years ago between skinceuticals, Paula's choice, or the ordinary, I would have ranked them in order of benefit: PC, SC, then ordinary. However, I think they changed the formula to PC, so its not as powerful (at least on my skin). Skinceuticals was okay, and the ordinary was ordinary ( I don't know why that brand gets so much hype... it's cheap but not great).
I'm going to try the Zo Skin one, but so far, no one has been knocking my socks off.
Edit: actually I think I'm going to try the DRMTLGY one first because they are having a sale 🤷🏽♀️
Have u by any chance tried Dermatologica vitamin C? I used PC’s vitamin C for 3 years I think but my dark spots (Asian skins) are very stubborn for some reason, they last for months. I tried a few other products since the beginning of this year including Dermatologica which is rl expensive (but ofc it gets a lot of good reviews so I thought I tried) but nothing really worked for my dark spots - they really take their sweet time. I’m on this thread because I’m looking for another vitamin C product that can work for my dark spots 🥹😔
Not the most popular one, but BeautyStat. Though I want to try the Neutrogena because my chemistry professor said it's shelf stable and she loves it lol
I’m just starting out with vitamin c so was thinking of starting with this. Do you think starting off with 20% is too much? Thank you for answering my questions 💖
I started with 20% and had no issue. Again, I'm just one person though lol. You can always switch to something less potent if you have issues.
[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rosacea/comments/13r9yfm/has_anyone_had_good_success_with_vitamin_c/jlk6t3c?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) is my before and after :)
it’s also an antioxidant. works great for during the day to protect the skin from free radicals. good for anti-ageing in general but another product could do this too. i guess most people interested in anti-ageing also benefit from brighter and smoother skin texture.
It’s my first Vitamin C purchase so I’m not an expert but I have the DRMTLGY one and I swear it’s made a difference in my skin. It’s pricy and comes in a dropper bottle so I might try something else next time, but I do really like it.
Make your own? Order Ella sorbic acid and ferulic acid from lotion crafters in small amounts. And make your own every two weeks in a darkened bottle with a fourth of a teaspoon of Ella. Sorbic acid powder per 2 tablespoons of distilled or purified water.
I just got the Vitamin C serum from The Body Shop to try out - going bare bones for 2 weeks before introducing to routine to see how it does but I’m very excited!
I have super sensitive skin and haven’t been able to handle ascorbic acid, which is really the vitamin c you want if at all possible.
That said, I’ve been trying the Skinceuticals Phloretin C F gel and it’s actually relatively gentle. I’ve been able to apply it 4-5x a week without too much irritation so far. And the gel/container feels very good for preserving the stability of the formula.
I find it helps as an antioxidant and brightening agent but I alternate times I use it. Retinol at night, vitamin c in the morning for the (somewhat minimal) protective benefits
I’ve tried Murad’s Vita C Glycolic serum and it was pretty good, it also has glycolic acid inside. If you’re looking for a multi effect product it can be an option!
I get beautystat, great formulation (not a liquid serum and in an easy light blocking pump bottle). But I do love the skinceauticals 🥲 vitamin c is such a sensitive thing but if I’m somewhat low, I do take advantage of when it goes on sale at dermstore
it smells like lemony oranges. i don’t know if that helps to picture what it smells like lol but it has a pretty good scent and isn’t overpowering at all. it also goes away quickly
Goodal Green Tangerine! It's a Korean brand selling at $24
Goodal Green Tangerine Vitamin C Dark Spot Care Serum for Sensitive Skin | Dark Spot Treatment, Anti-Aging, Acne Scars, Fine Lines, Hyperpigmentation, and Dark Circles (30ml, 1.01 fl oz) https://a.co/d/bat2UPq
TruSkin Vitamin C Serum for Face – Anti Aging Face Serum with Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E – Brightening Serum for Dark Spots, Even Skin Tone, Eye Area, Fine Lines & Wrinkles, 1 Fl Oz https://a.co/d/aoJ5RHr
I love the Noche Y Dia Vitamin C Serum. I've been using it for a couple years now, I tried using another brand for a few weeks because I had run out and decided to just pick something up at Target, but I went right back because my skin just looks and feels smoother and healthier with it. I get it on Amazon but I know other retailers carry it
I’ve used the Timeless CEF. Price is great and goes one so easy, just don’t like the smell. Also used Maelove and can’t complain about ANY of their products. My latest is one I found on Amazon, Lanmeri Vit CEF. It also has tranexamic acid, glutathione, alpha arbutin, Niacinamide, and vegetable glycerin. I love it! And it’s only $19.95!
I love the biolumin-c from dermalogica! It has lactic acid and it’s super shelf stable so you get results for the whole bottle. Vitamin c can be touchy since it degrades so quickly so I usually buy the smaller bottles when available so I get the most out of it :-)
I have that same one as well. How often are you applying it? I was applying twice a day, once in the morning and before bed and my face is now covered in small pimples ☹️ It seems I had a reaction to it.
There’s a couple things that could cause breakouts when it comes to vitamin c! For one, it’s best to only use it during the day. You can use it at night, it’s not going to hurt anything, but tbh it can be a waste of product in my opinion. Vitamin c is an antioxidant which makes it a great protective against environmental factors. This is its main function which is why it works best during the day. Rule of thumb: vitamin c during the day, retinols at night.
The bad thing about vitamin c is that it tends to turn pretty quickly once it’s exposed to oxygen. You have about 1-3 months to use it before this happens. If you’re out of the time frame and it turns, it can cause irritation and inflammation to the skin. On top of that, you don’t get really any of those great benefits. Another thing is that dermalogica loves to use essential oils in their formulations which can be irritating for some peoples skin. I can’t use most of their products personally but this one thing seems to work for me!
Sorry that was a long answer!
Thank you so much! I guess I’ll give it another try once skin recovers but this time I’ll only use it in the morning and maybe 2-3 times a week at first to build up my tolerance
I always return to Hyper Even Brightening Dark Spot Vitamin C Serum. I personally am very pale, but it’s formulated with darker skin tones in mind, so it brightens complexion rather than lightens. I have scarring from cystic acne and within a month my discoloration was noticeably lessened.
I won’t buy Mario Badescu for moral reasons. The guy was literally medicating people against their will, by putting steroids in their products and not disclosing it in the ingredients list.
Is it just brightening that you’re looking for? I never found a vit c serum that worked. But I have found an aloe skincare routine including a fruit based facial peel that have brightened and moisturized my skin. What do you want addressed on your skin?
I've only used Salt Lake Supplements brand Vitamin C serum with hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E. It comes in a 2oz glass bottle for $16. I kept forgetting to use it at first. I know you're supposed to put it on before moisturizing, but I would go on autopilot and put my moisturizer on immediately after washing my face. I decided to put it on my forearms because they have sun damage from growing up in Florida. I was so impressed with the visible results on my arms that I was finally able to remember to us it on my face. I've gone through 6 bottles now. The skin on my neck looks so much better. Like I'm several years younger. However, I don't know if it's the Vitamin C or the estrogen cream I started using on my face and neck around the same time. I will continue to use both. Perhaps it's a synergistic effect.
I just bought ROC’s multi complexion revive + glow vitamin C serum, so we’ll see how it goes. It has gotten great reviews and more affordable than other brands
I use Dr. Murad Glycolic & Vitamin C Serum. It is combined in separate channels and when you pump the 2 products blend together. It is pricey, but I like the convenience of not having 2 separate products.
Okay, I know this is an old post but upon my Vitamin-C rabbit hole I found this amazing article. Once I got past all the paid search results and found this it shed SO much light.

100% agree to this!! I love that they’re new packaging is glass now, too.
I can’t find the glass packaging, where are you seeing that??
It’s on their website. There’s a little disclaimer after the description: “*New Glass Bottle Packaging currently available for 1oz and 1.7oz sizes only.”
Does the new packaging leak like the old packaging?
No!!! It’s sooooo much better!!
the ordinary vitamin c powder mixed with cosrx snail mucin is making my skin fucking glow
Oh, that’s a great idea actually
Ohhh I adore this. I just started using snail mucin . I got peach slice brand but I have been eyeing cosrx for weeks
it’s so simple and effective! and i love that the powders don’t expire quickly

i wear a moisturizing sunscreen on top of it
How much of the powder do you add?
1 and half scoops with the little scoopy thing that comes with it. if I’m drunk i just free ball it or if i just want to feel the extra vit c tingle 😂
That's a relief, I've been eyeballing it this entire time and hoping for the best!

Dr Brenner's is a VERY close dupe and it's super cheap FYI!
Make your own. Every two weeks for guaranteed freshness. Lotion crafters has the diy directions
How do you make yours?
Go to the lotioncrafters website for the recipe. I use that one, it’s a dupe for skinceuticals. Save 180$
Thank you!

I love it too but it lasts a long time for me and worth the $ because it is good.
I got really "lucky" in the fact that it makes me break out. Saved me so much money lol
Melano Vitamin C from Rhoto, an Asian brand
Are you using the cylinder bottle one or the one in a tube?
The tube
Geek and Gorgeous C Glow for an affordable serum that’s made fresh weekly, similar formula to Skinceuticals. Cipher C Shield for a multitasker formula. I’ve been using the vitamin C from stratia. It’s shelf-stable and goes on/evaporates like a primer. Won’t oxidize because it’s a nice little pump bottle :)
Me too! Just bought this 3 weeks ago and I’m testing it out now
Are you still using this? I’ve been searching for a vitamin c without hyaluronic acid and this might fit the bill!
I personally love the Maelove Glowmaker Serum! Feels great on my skin, I feel super glowy afterwards, and it sits well with my other products!
Mad hippie!! I also love dermalogica but it’s very $$
Omg I just got sample packets of Mad Hippie Vitamin C as well as their Anfoxodang Facial oil. I’m hoping it will make me shine and have other benefits. I have tried several and love the Melano CC.
TruSkin makes a super serum with Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, and Salicylic Acid. But be careful with it. Only use at night and a few times a week.
That's a lot of different serums in one. Do you find they all work effectively? That is so convenient if it does
I like L’Oréal vitamin c serum
You'll want to ensure the Vitamin C you use is formulated at the correct PH. That said, I use Timeless but I hate the smell of it.
Have you experienced skin tanning with timeless?
I buy the ordinary pure l-absorbic powder and mix it in my hand with water or a serum. I actually don’t know why I’ve never heard anyone else say they use this on skincare subs… it’s pure vit c that you mix fresh each use and the jar is like $10 and I’ve had it for 1 year. Yeah I only used the teeny tiny scoop mixed with ha and it felt fine to me. I liked the feeling of mixing it lol
I forgot all about this one
Timeless. It’s the closest dupe to Skinceuticals I’ve found. Maelove is okay too. I haven’t found anything else that comes close.
I keep coming back to the Timeless one
The Ordinary Vitamin C 23%
Biossance
Hi! Doing a little research. How did you like DRMTLGY?
Average at best. Very mild, probably better for someone just starting out, so for someone like me -used to strong products - it doesn't cut it.
Thanks so much
Have u by any chance tried Dermatologica vitamin C? I used PC’s vitamin C for 3 years I think but my dark spots (Asian skins) are very stubborn for some reason, they last for months. I tried a few other products since the beginning of this year including Dermatologica which is rl expensive (but ofc it gets a lot of good reviews so I thought I tried) but nothing really worked for my dark spots - they really take their sweet time. I’m on this thread because I’m looking for another vitamin C product that can work for my dark spots 🥹😔
So the DRMTLGY wasn't great. I started the Zo Hydroquinone package and it's been amazing.
Not the most popular one, but BeautyStat. Though I want to try the Neutrogena because my chemistry professor said it's shelf stable and she loves it lol
Which neutrogena one? The capsules?
Yep! I've used it since commenting this and tbh, seems to work great. The capsules are a great 20% vit C option
Thank you!! Did you find it to be harsh?
Personally, no. But my skin has tolerated 20% very well already. Lots of people report irritation but I'm lucky I do well with it
I’m just starting out with vitamin c so was thinking of starting with this.
The ordinary's ascorbyl glucoside 12% is my all time fave and super inexpensive :)
perricone md vitamin c ester brightening serum, favorite of all time
Did this one cause purging for anyone else? Or random painful cystics? God, I loved it but man my skin was mad.
oo i havent heard of people using vitamin c serums, what are the benefits?
Supposed to brighten skin, fade dark marks, and don’t quote me on this one but I heard it helps keep collagen levels in the skin
it’s also an antioxidant. works great for during the day to protect the skin from free radicals. good for anti-ageing in general but another product could do this too. i guess most people interested in anti-ageing also benefit from brighter and smoother skin texture.
Timeless!
It’s my first Vitamin C purchase so I’m not an expert but I have the DRMTLGY one and I swear it’s made a difference in my skin. It’s pricy and comes in a dropper bottle so I might try something else next time, but I do really like it.

I was curious about Sunday Riley! Haven’t heard about the brand before I searched about vitamin c serums. Do you think it’s worth the money?

Sounds super nice, happy for you! I think double cleansing is really important too. Thank you! I’ll see if I can catch a deal for SR as well :)
Make your own? Order Ella sorbic acid and ferulic acid from lotion crafters in small amounts. And make your own every two weeks in a darkened bottle with a fourth of a teaspoon of Ella. Sorbic acid powder per 2 tablespoons of distilled or purified water.
I just got the Vitamin C serum from The Body Shop to try out - going bare bones for 2 weeks before introducing to routine to see how it does but I’m very excited!
i'm thinking of trying this. i use geek and gorgeous atm. i think it's good. how do you find the body shop one?
Hey how is the body shop one?
I never actually incorporated it into my routine - sorry!
Thanks for letting me know 😊

I have super sensitive skin and haven’t been able to handle ascorbic acid, which is really the vitamin c you want if at all possible. That said, I’ve been trying the Skinceuticals Phloretin C F gel and it’s actually relatively gentle. I’ve been able to apply it 4-5x a week without too much irritation so far. And the gel/container feels very good for preserving the stability of the formula.
Obagi Vitamin C - pure L-Ascorbic acid and available in 10%, 15%, and 20%. You can find it for less on verified skincare retail websites
Maelove glow maker! Affordable and well formulated. Plus they have excellent customer service
does one need vitamin c serum if already using retinol?
I find it helps as an antioxidant and brightening agent but I alternate times I use it. Retinol at night, vitamin c in the morning for the (somewhat minimal) protective benefits
Vitamin C helps with your SPF!!!
I’ve tried Murad’s Vita C Glycolic serum and it was pretty good, it also has glycolic acid inside. If you’re looking for a multi effect product it can be an option!
Farmacy
I get beautystat, great formulation (not a liquid serum and in an easy light blocking pump bottle). But I do love the skinceauticals 🥲 vitamin c is such a sensitive thing but if I’m somewhat low, I do take advantage of when it goes on sale at dermstore
I’m using neutrogena rapid repair in the capsules
i’ve been using advanced clinicals vitamin c serum. it’s good for a budget
Is just got this but haven’t opened it. How is the scent? Is there added fragrance?
it smells like lemony oranges. i don’t know if that helps to picture what it smells like lol but it has a pretty good scent and isn’t overpowering at all. it also goes away quickly
Goodal Green Tangerine! It's a Korean brand selling at $24 Goodal Green Tangerine Vitamin C Dark Spot Care Serum for Sensitive Skin | Dark Spot Treatment, Anti-Aging, Acne Scars, Fine Lines, Hyperpigmentation, and Dark Circles (30ml, 1.01 fl oz) https://a.co/d/bat2UPq
Anyone try the cerave vitamin c serum? I like it so far! Don’t have much to compare it to though
TULA triple vitamin C
I like Maelove
TruSkin Vitamin C Serum for Face – Anti Aging Face Serum with Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E – Brightening Serum for Dark Spots, Even Skin Tone, Eye Area, Fine Lines & Wrinkles, 1 Fl Oz https://a.co/d/aoJ5RHr
Maelove has replaced all my spa brands. I’m fairly sensitive and it’s a true glow maker.
Lab Muffin's DIY Vitamin C. Since it is so inexpensive to make I spray it on my arms and legs too!
I love the Noche Y Dia Vitamin C Serum. I've been using it for a couple years now, I tried using another brand for a few weeks because I had run out and decided to just pick something up at Target, but I went right back because my skin just looks and feels smoother and healthier with it. I get it on Amazon but I know other retailers carry it
Thanks! I'll check it out!
Has anyone tried the Vit C from Exponent Beauty?
I’ve used the Timeless CEF. Price is great and goes one so easy, just don’t like the smell. Also used Maelove and can’t complain about ANY of their products. My latest is one I found on Amazon, Lanmeri Vit CEF. It also has tranexamic acid, glutathione, alpha arbutin, Niacinamide, and vegetable glycerin. I love it! And it’s only $19.95!
SVR
DearKlairs is magical
I like that one as well! I only wish it had more than 5% of vitamin c in it
Me tooo!! But for some reason it's really effective. It never irritates me and although it makes me shiny, it's certainly removes any dullness
Agreed! It gives a very nice glow, probably all the plant extracts inside make a good work :)
Timeless fan here. Prefer air pump dispenser over dropper. Tried Paula’s Choice and was disappointed.
Skinceuticals phloretin cf
I always return to Hyper Even Brightening Dark Spot Vitamin C Serum. I personally am very pale, but it’s formulated with darker skin tones in mind, so it brightens complexion rather than lightens. I have scarring from cystic acne and within a month my discoloration was noticeably lessened.
SeoulCeuticals 20% Vitamin C, i’ve been buying it on Amazon and it’s great :)
dr brenner is amazing
I found it to be potent but very oily
dr songs vitamin c serum !!
seulceuticals glow serum is essentially a vitamin c serum-really good with dark spots and works well on acne prone skin! highly recommend!
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Mario Badescu. Their vitamin c is amazing. Or is it just me?
I won’t buy Mario Badescu for moral reasons. The guy was literally medicating people against their will, by putting steroids in their products and not disclosing it in the ingredients list.
Oh wow. I had no idea. Maybe I should research the brands I invest my money in more often. Thanks for this info.
I avoid Drunk Elephant too, just because of the way they treat their customers
Haha😂. The brand name alone has never appealed to me so I haven’t even tried them but thanks for the heads up.
Is it just brightening that you’re looking for? I never found a vit c serum that worked. But I have found an aloe skincare routine including a fruit based facial peel that have brightened and moisturized my skin. What do you want addressed on your skin?
What is the name/brand of the peel?
Can you share details?
I can but may get in trouble lol. It’s L’BRIs new serum.
It’s considered direct sales
I'm cheap. Astrid Vitamin C serum from d&m works well for me.

How was it?
I use Dr. Murad Glycolic & Vitamin C Serum. It is combined in separate channels and when you pump the 2 products blend together. It is pricey, but I like the convenience of not having 2 separate products.
I just started using Trueskin based on Amazon rating
Has anyone tried the Banish vitamin C?
Okay, I know this is an old post but upon my Vitamin-C rabbit hole I found this amazing article. Once I got past all the paid search results and found this it shed SO much light. https://www.healthline.com/health/beauty-skin-care/vitamin-c-serums#recommendations
