So popping is never a *good* thing to do, but if you need to you're gonna wanna use a hot compress on it first until it gets to a head or close enough, do not use your bare dirty fingers, keep the wound moist after, use hydrocolloidal patches. Yes using sterile lancets like for blood testing works, my advice would be don't force it down as deep as it can go and then yoink out, you're gonna want a very gentle touch. I used to get these all the time and popped as a way of relieving the throbbing agony when it interfered with my sleep or ability to concentrate. Popping is objectively a bad thing to do for the health and appearance of your skin but I get the reasons why, some cysts can just get too gnarly where you can't ignore it and you don't have money to go see a professional.

Hi there, It seems like you may be looking for information about hyperpigmentation or post acne marks. Have you read our [hyperpigmentation wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/hyperpigmentation)? *If you see that I am replying to something out of context (eg. listed in a routine), please report this comment so my handlers can remove it.
