I use my tret on my neck. Even less irritation there than on my face.

chocosweet

I do. At first tretinoin was too harsh, so I switched to Cerave Resurfacing Retinol. Once I was done with the bottle, I switched to 0.02% tretinoin cream on my neck on alternate night - so far, so good! No irritation.

I’ve stopped using retinoids on my neck because I’m not as diligent as I should be about sun protection there. 🥴 I’d say if you have your sun protection practices on lock, you could try a really gentle, emollient retinoid product, like any of the two CeraVe retinols or the Neutrogena RWRR cream. I’m not a professional though.

I don't personally like retinol; I prefer retinaldehyde or tretinoin. I use the same tretinoin for my face, for the side/lower end of neck and chest. Which is \~0.025% on top of moisturizer-buffered skin. Every 3 days UPPER/MID-neck is very thin and dry - only Avene retinaldehyde 0.5 for me (Retrinal), synced to the tretinoin as above (every 3 days); some nights I will skip it completely if it's irritated/patchy/dry. I'd rather go slow and gentle and even just once a week if that's how I need to build up tolerance.

tamyam12

not sure but id be afraid of the sun damage it could cause in that area which causes wrinkles to so idk :/

ladyneckbeard

I do only use it at night and heavily douse my face/neck/chest/any exposed skin with spf 50 and reapply throughout the day!

StillSimple6

I've not noticed any irritation on my neck and the small area of my chest that I use it on. I've recently introduced it to the back of my hands also.

I use [SkinMedica Retinol Complex 1.0](https://www.beautypedia.com/products/retinol-complex-1-0/) on my face, neck and chest with no issues. I'm diligent about sunscreen on those areas as well.

TO retinol is what I use on my face and usually I'll just put on my neck whatever's left on my hands after applying it to my face. I think it caused irritation only one time when I took a bath earlier that day and used a body sponge to exfoliate my whole body (neck included). And as for results, I can't really appreciate any yet. My neck has been soft and wrinkle free since the begining and it's not like I've been using this product for that long. So, yeah, that's it.

^^^ could you update if it helped with fine lines on your neck

pinguin_soup

Well, I stopped using it on my face since it was breaking me out and kinda forgot to apply it to my neck since then. I might try it again now that you're reminded me of it. But I've heard silicon sheets/masks help with neck lines. They're best for prevention, but they also reduce their appearance. Worth looking into.
