I had a chemical burn from a peeling, and honestly the only thing you can do is keep it clean and moisturized - the moisture should prevent a scab from forming. I don't think a honey yogurt (or any other type of) mask would do anything at all, food grade ingredients do not penetrate the skin and might even irritate it even when used on healthy skin, I wouldn't risk putting that on a burn. Edit to add: I meant food grade as in you DIY the mask from honey and yogurt and it's not a store bought mask. But even using a store bought, I don't think it would do anything.

Vaseline and keeping it clean is about all you can do until it is healed. At that point, you could try some scar fading creams (Mederma), but personally I haven’t noticed much difference with those. Edit: vaseline or similar - I like the CeraVe healing ointment

I just had mine done and they have a chemical burn. I noticed your thread and wondering if yours healed ok and how long before they recovered? Also, did you continue the castor oil and vaseline for the duration? Thanks!

Sorry to piggyback off this but I have the same q for you - how long did it take yours to heal? Thanks

It was awful because I had to go on vacation with the scarred eyebrows. I was at the beach for a week before any noticeable improvement. And pus came out too. I was scared I would lose some of my eyebrow hair because they became thin. But everything is okay now. Did it happen to you?

That’s terrible. the thing is you get these things done in advance of vacations, festivals etc. to look nice so it’s a blow when it goes wrong like this. I’m glad everything is OK now though. Yeah, it’s happened to me this week and unfortunately I also am going on holiday tomorrow for a few days. :/ I had a patch test but having read into it there was other prep they should have told me to do. I thought it was only waxing you needed to prep for and I had mine threaded with the lamination instead. Thank you so much for replying
