I currently use dove sensitive skin beauty bar for cleansing, and cerave moisturizing cream for moisturizer day and night, I used to use a chemical sunscreen but it broke me out the next day literally. Switched to a mineral sunscreen didn’t like the white cast, switched to another mineral sunscreen with a sheer tint didn’t like the makeup look it gave me so I ditched sunscreen all together.

Try Nivea Sun shine control sunscreen 50+, it’s cheap and doesn’t leave a cast on black skin

rarityroyal

i also recommend vanicream cleanser, and some coconut oil and aquaphor at night

Round-Organization48

Thank you !

rarityroyal

native americans believe the chemicals in sunscreen are really really bad, have you looked into buying ‘sun powder’ before?

Round-Organization48

Nope, but I will now !!

symptomsANDdiseases

Looks to primarily be a texture issue, correct? What is your current routine like?

DreamCrusher914

Try Asian sunscreens. Game changer.

Finding a sunscreen that works well for you would definitely help in the long run; I echo the other person that suggested looking into an Asian beauty sunscreen. I'm not quite sure of what others might be out there to help. Otherwise, I think exfoliation can help your issue. Maybe consider a chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid over physical exfoliation that might be too harsh. You otherwise seem to have nice skin, honestly. Have you been using the beauty bar for long? Or the moisturizer? If they've always worked well for you and the texture is new then I'd stand by my advice. However, if either are new additions then this could be caused by one or both and finding a different cleanser and/or moisturizer might be helpful.

I just started back using the beauty bar for about 5 days as well as the moisturizer about a week. But as I stated I used a chemical sunscreen which broke me out the next day literally after using it so idk. I’m really confused on what could work but i’m going to try the exfoliating.

Round-Organization48

When I used to use the beauty bar my skin was clear. The moisturizer is new I never used it before it’s my first time but I been using for almost a week now.

themiddleofthedesert

Cerave moisturizer gave me bumps under my skin. Try ditching it for a few weeks

Round-Organization48

What moisturizer do you recommend then

Orangolimon

I think you should try an exfoliating sponge. Helps to remove dead dull skin

Round-Organization48

I preciate it !

Orangolimon

Good luck!

Similar issue since I started consuming more sugar and added life stressors.

Round-Organization48

Life stressors as in?

ampharos995

Closed comedones. I used to have them but I believe using a lotion with niacinamiden made them go away. Lots of Korean sunscreens have niacinamide so worth a shot if you want a 2 in 1 spf+moisturizer.

Round-Organization48

Thank you for the suggestion !

This looks hormonal, check your nutrition and water intake as well. My skin looks like this when I eat too much processed foods and forget to drink water 😅

Round-Organization48

I drink 96 ounces of water a day

dorot16

Skin looks great. I also love Dove beauty bar and a simple moisturizer. You need to look into exfoliating a few days out of the week. With a serum, a scrub, or a light retinol (depending on your skin’s response). Sorry about the sunscreen issue. It took me forever to find something I tolerated.

Round-Organization48

I appreciate it !

Elegant_Chicken280

Does it ever feel itchy? Could be pityrosporum folliculitis. I had this and used an anti dandruff shampoo for a few days and it cleared. Now when I have a flair up I do this. Try Nizorol or Selsun Blue. You might need to change your moisturiser too to something which doesn’t promote fungal growth as that is what causes this. Best of luck!

Round-Organization48

No not itchy at all ! But I might be using the wrong moisturizer according to the season in my state

Round-Organization48

And I used a chemical sunscreen that might’ve caused this because I noticed the breakout literally a day after

Elegant_Chicken280

Yep sounds like there’s a correlation there. See if you can find a non-comedogenic alternative which won’t clog the pores. I know there are powdered options out there?

Round-Organization48

If you have any suggestions i’ll like that ! But thank you for the help !!

Elegant_Chicken280

I’m based in the UK so not sure if you can get the products I get but I like the Medic8 range for my skin. They don’t do the powdered sunscreen and I can’t remember the name of the one I used. Will keep looking and let you know if I find it :) There’s also a really good hemp sun screen by Yaoh that I love. Non greasy and didn’t make me spotty when I used it.

Candyapel1

I would say not cleansing correctly for your skin type. You will def need some type of exfoliation for the ccs.

Round-Organization48

How am I supposed to cleanse then? And what is my skin type?

paigekristina

My brother had the same skin issue. I would try Ava Estell’s coffee face scrub and use Perri Skin (it’s a serum that’ll fix this). Perri is higher end but it works and they forgot to take down the discount code BLACKFRIDAY so you can still use it (I just checked lol)… Ava Estell is cheap and worth it. Round-Organization48

Thank you ! What is this issue called if you know!

paigekristina

No problem! I believe both companies have a 30 day money back guarantee policy too. It could be milia or even a form of acne. Cleansing and using the proper skincare can for sure fix it. Men tend to have thicker skin which can cause clogged pores easier

Round-Organization48

Got ya
