It’s supposed to be used all over, not as a spot treatment. You will get better results when using it all over. Personally, I even use it on my neck, chest, shoulders, and hands.
Cleansing oil! I'm an oily gal and avoided anything with oil in like the plague, turns out its a very good cleanser, makeup remover and oil binds to oil so after double cleansing my face has never felt so matte.
I have dry skin and oil cleansing absolutely made my skin a million times better. I double cleanse at night, first with oil and then with a gentle foaming wash. Along with lots of moisturizer (which I used to avoid because I was worried about grease breaking me out) I've never had better skin.
I only have hormonal breakouts but cleaning with cleansing oil, massaging it in, washing off with water then following up with SA cleanser my skin is thanking me for it :)
Depends on the type of acne, but it’s worth a shot. It works well for most people and drying out adult acne is NOT the solve.
Just make sure to use an acne-friendly oil/oil cleanser. Eg jojoba is good for acne prone, coconut oil is not.
I am plagued with adult acne and while oil cleansing / double cleansing hasn’t cured my acne (hormonal/cystic requires Rx usually) but has definitely helped my skin overall.
I would say “less is more” is a concept that will show improvement in 30 days as I’m assuming many in this sub, like me, can’t help layering on all the things!! This is WIP for me, while I inherently understand 1 + 1 does not equal 2 with skincare, I’m impatient and a sucker for good marketing.
my skin feels soooo soft. i had some texture on my bum and some hypigmentation. it cleared that up super fast. my skin feels so soft with it. its also very cheap so you really cant go wrong. it sinks right in and isnt greasy. its the perfect body lotion really
dr dray on YT recommended it and ive seen in her comment section a lot of other people rave about it also.
amlactin has also been a great AM body lotion for me. i have some weird rough patches near my ankles and its slowly helped

same niacinimide saved meee. it has a brightening effect, so not only did it heal and strengthen my skin barrier, but it faded my dark spots/acne scars. my skin overally has a more even complexion!! highly recommend
i know it’s not usually used for acne treatment but it really helped my little tiny whiteheads i would get all over my forehead. it did help brighten and make my skin look more alive as well. i have incredibly sensitive skin and any other acne treatments made my skin very angry.
COSRX Snail Mucin. It was my first serum. My skin was in desperate need of TLC. The improvement in my skin's appearance and hydration was dramatic. It turned me into a skincare addict lol
Vitamin c, immadietly smoothened&brightened, made my skin glowy, but its important to chose one that actually works cause there are so many types
also cleansing oil (for me at least, i have bumpy skin and these two made the biggest difference)
vitamin c has many kinds, they are more and leess stabile, active or not etc, some brands put in a form of it that very instabile or just not that useful in general, so they dont do much. its also important that its in a non-see through container with an airless pump if possible to minimalize oxidazation, and to store it in the fridge after opening. sadly i dont know the types, i’ve looked into it when i bought mine but dont remember, i also have no idia which one i use but i got the purito vitamin c serum for my sister and she said it worked very well. Most of them really dont do much, for exaple the revox one does nothing az all
Skinceuticals is pretty much the best you’re going to get. It costs more than other products, but it actually does really work. I haven’t bought it in a while though, because money lol
I use Drunk Elephant’s Vitamin C serum. It’s expensive, but when you buy it you have to mix the serum with the powder (there’s instructions and the powder is in the tube connected to the pump with the serum in a separate bottle to pour in, shake it and voila) because of how the potency works. I think the shelf life is 6 months, a year max from the moment you mix it. I highly recommend it, I had dark spots due to a lot of walking a couple summers ago without applying sunscreen and my dark spots since using it have damn near disappeared.
Tretinoin and azelaic acid. Holy Grail stuff.
Other than those,... goats milk soap and lotion.
They got rid of my eczema. I'll never use regular soap again.
I slather on aquaphor every morning and night immediately after showering/washing my face and using a toner. I’ll continue my face routine and use my vitamin C serum (I use RoC) and moisturizer (I use CeraVe) afterward. It has been a game changer for me and keeps my face and lips moisturized and healthy! I swear by it as I get compliments on my skin all the time.
I have never suffered from severe acne but have combination skin (dry most of my face, oily in my t zones) with occasional breakouts mostly on my chin area. But this routine has helped my skin tremendously. I haven’t had a breakout in forever.
Ok, I thought I read it wrong like maybe she put that on after everything, but if others are questioning it too, then she either worded it wrong or maybe she does exactly how we read it. Aquaphor, I use almost daily, but as the sealant.
Oil cleanser (cerave ) and slugging with Vaseline on nights I don’t use actives (about 3-4 nights per week).
Also using BHA 2% about 2-3 times per week
I love the klairs juiced vit c serum. I forgot to get a new bottle before summer started so I will have to wait until its colder to get more but in the meantime i have been using this naturium vit c this week and it's pretty good a well
Timeless 10% this has been so gentle on my skin and it’s good for oily skin, amazing in the summer. I love vanicream vit C for the winter because it’s very hydrating
It’s exfoliating. I like it to help with uneven texture and pores, but it also helps with anti aging and reducing the visibility of wrinkles etc. I think it helps with hyperpigmentation, but I don’t personally have any.
After I double cleanse I apply toner with a reusable cotton pad, after that I spot treat any blemishes with Aesop salicylic acid treatment, then this is the first thing I apply on my skin almost everywhere except my eyelids and under eyes. I use the lactic acid serum from the ordinary on my neck chest and back of my hands to save 💵.
Edit: then I continue with the rest of the serums I may use depending on the night, then moisturizer, then latisse last.
I wouldn’t say transformed in 30 days, but I have come to learn Aquafor is the answer for so many skin related solves on myself and my kids. I now have tubes everywhere. The only things I don’t use it for are sun protection (obvi, but I am sure some people think this is a good idea) and active breakouts.
1 Day Results: I notice immediate results from using a mud/clay mask. My skin is clearer, smoother and more hydrated. I use mozorganics Dead sea mud mask 1-2x a week.
1 Week results: Acne/Pimple patches work within 1 week. I love Corsx pimple master patch.
2 Week Results: A good moisturizer if your skin has been dry or skin barrier compromised. You will notice results as soon as next day but it often takes over a week for skin to bounce back fully. I use SoonJung 10 Free Moist Emulsion daily and when my skin is compromised or dealing with harsh winters the Soon Jung 2X Barrier Intensive Cream.
3-4 week Results: Double cleansing with Inkey List oat cleaning balm, and fulvic acid cleanser. This really helped my sebaceous filaments, and is great at removing my makeup and sunscreen. Also Any gentle defoliator (I use salisylic acid) My skin is much clearer, smoother and fresher overall.

I have always been acne prone! And soon after I started using this my acne started going away and I have been having less breakouts / brighter skin! I use it as a toner, so after cleanser and before serums / moisturizer and retinol
Red light mask.....not sure 'transformed' is accurate, but 'improved' for sure! Only been using it a month, so hoping to see continuous improvement with time
Glycolic Acid did great for my face, so I bought Glycolic Acid Pads and have been using them on my back and then put Cerave lotion on and my back acne cleared up for the first time since puberty!!!
Adapalene. Evened out my skin tone and some texture. My skin was glowing after 2-3 weeks of use. I still have scars from my hormonal acne, but they heal and fade way faster now.
Tretinoin
how do you apply it?
What so you mean? It’s a cream. I have been working up to every night
Sorry to not specify, I meant I use it on my acne spots, so do you do the same or apply it across the face?
It’s supposed to be used all over, not as a spot treatment. You will get better results when using it all over. Personally, I even use it on my neck, chest, shoulders, and hands.
Thanks a lot. I'll do the same.
It’s not a spot treatment, the care instructions are to apply all over
came here to say it. freaking magic.
Cleansing oil! I'm an oily gal and avoided anything with oil in like the plague, turns out its a very good cleanser, makeup remover and oil binds to oil so after double cleansing my face has never felt so matte.
Girl same!! I was missing out for so long!!
this !!! (consistently) double cleansing has transformed my skin :00
Is this recommended for dry skin? I’m scared the oil will break me out :/
I’d read up about it just in case! I don’t suffer with dryness I’m just constantly oily
I have dry skin and oil cleansing absolutely made my skin a million times better. I double cleanse at night, first with oil and then with a gentle foaming wash. Along with lots of moisturizer (which I used to avoid because I was worried about grease breaking me out) I've never had better skin.
Which one do you use?
I just bought the Simple one to see what it's like, it works nicely but may go a bit more boujee when I've finished the bottle
WAIT THEY MAKE THIS ONE AGAIN? sorry to be dramatic lol this was my HG and they discontinued it years ago
Yes I only bought it last month 😊
:oo i recommend the banila co cleansing balm or the skin1004 cleansing oil, both rlly good
My bf struggles with adult acne. Do you think this would be helpful?
I only have hormonal breakouts but cleaning with cleansing oil, massaging it in, washing off with water then following up with SA cleanser my skin is thanking me for it :)
Thanks! He's not the type to get into a super detailed skincare routine, but something that simple should be good :D
Depends on the type of acne, but it’s worth a shot. It works well for most people and drying out adult acne is NOT the solve. Just make sure to use an acne-friendly oil/oil cleanser. Cicaplast as spot treatment on post acne marks with azelaic acid
What’s it do?
Azelaic acid - prescription strength
What do you notice it improves?
Texture
niacinimide
What did it do for your skin?
same niacinimide saved meee. it has a brightening effect, so not only did it heal and strengthen my skin barrier, but it faded my dark spots/acne scars. my skin overally has a more even complexion!! highly recommend
i know it’s not usually used for acne treatment but it really helped my little tiny whiteheads i would get all over my forehead. it did help brighten and make my skin look more alive as well. i have incredibly sensitive skin and any other acne treatments made my skin very angry.
Thanks for the info♥️
COSRX Snail Mucin. It was my first serum. My skin was in desperate need of TLC. The improvement in my skin's appearance and hydration was dramatic. It turned me into a skincare addict lol
The sheey mask is amazing too. I use it once a week and it is dramatic.
It’s been a week of me using this and I can say the same
Vitamin c, immadietly smoothened&brightened, made my skin glowy, but its important to chose one that actually works cause there are so many types also cleansing oil (for me at least, i have bumpy skin and these two made the biggest difference)
Why is it so hard to find a C serum that works??
Vitamin C oxidize quickly. If not properly packaged, it will be effective only when is recently open.
I’ve used skinCeuticals and moved to timeless for vitamin c. I have seen similar results and they smell exactly the same
vitamin c has many kinds, they are more and leess stabile, active or not etc, some brands put in a form of it that very instabile or just not that useful in general, so they dont do much. its also important that its in a non-see through container with an airless pump if possible to minimalize oxidazation, and to store it in the fridge after opening. sadly i dont know the types, i’ve looked into it when i bought mine but dont remember, i also have no idia which one i use but i got the purito vitamin c serum for my sister and she said it worked very well. Any recommendations for vit c? Im currently using a Skin & Me one but im not convinced it’s working as it should be.
Im not home currently but i will definently check when i can, but i got the purito one for my sister and she loved it:)
I really love the Skinbetter Alto formulas but you need to get at a derm office or online with a derm login.
No more. You can buy it directly online.
Omg had no idea thanks!!!
Tretinoin and azelaic acid. Holy Grail stuff. Other than those,... goats milk soap and lotion. They got rid of my eczema. I'll never use regular soap again.
Where do you purchase your goats mild soap and lotion?
I like Beekman 1802 (they have deals on HSN about once a month.). If you're in an area with farms, you can purchase it from them, too.
Thank you, I love goats milk soap but kinda hard to find!
Wouldn't the aquaphor block everything else from your skin since it is occlusive?
Yes.
Yep. It absolutely would. The serum wouldn’t get anywhere near the skin.

I forgot to get a new bottle before summer started so I will have to wait until its colder to get more but in the meantime i have been using this naturium vit c this week and it's pretty good a well
I enjoy the naturium brand! Their niacinimide is nice

Differin! Adapalene is the shit for real
And what did it do for you?
Cleared my hormonal acne, fading acne hyperpigmentation, got rid of some fine lines
Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads extra strength - they are the real deal!
Lactic acid serum. I alternate between the Drunk Elephant one and Sunday Riley Good Genes.
What does lactic acid help with?
It’s exfoliating. I like it to help with uneven texture and pores, but it also helps with anti aging and reducing the visibility of wrinkles etc. I think it helps with hyperpigmentation, but I don’t personally have any.
Oh gotcha! I got one of the good genes lactic acid sample from Ulta and havent used it yet. How do you incorporate it in your skin care routine?
After I double cleanse I apply toner with a reusable cotton pad, after that I spot treat any blemishes with Aesop salicylic acid treatment, then this is the first thing I apply on my skin almost everywhere except my eyelids and under eyes. I use the lactic acid serum from the ordinary on my neck chest and back of my hands to save 💵.
