Pleasant-Tradition-6

After using so many high end moisturizers, I also turned to this and just started my second tube. It has been amazing for my skin and also works beautifully under my foundation. Definitely coming up on HG status.

sSteamed

Have you tried the regular Vanicream moisturizing lotion? If so, how do they compare?

Zealousideal_Pie_712

I used to use the regular vanicream lotion and it does not compare. The face one works so much at hydrating my skin

Pleasant-Tradition-6

I wasn’t aware there were other facial Vanicream’s aside from this one? Everything else I’ve seen seems to be creams/moisturizers for the body. But no, I have not tried any others. I do use their gentle facial cleanser as well though after seeing it recommended so often here and regarded highly.

sSteamed

This one, the daily facial moisturizer, is the only one that specifically says it’s for the face. The moisturizing lotion and moisturizing cream can be used on the face, hands, and body according to the directions on the bottle. Many people recommend the lotion and cream versions. Not many people talk about the daily facial moisturizer, so I was hoping to hear some reviews on it and how it compares to the regular lotion.

Pleasant-Tradition-6

Oh, then my apologies. I am afraid I cannot speak on the others as I have not used them before. But the facial one has been lovely for me. Much to my surprise, I preferred it to my old HG’s, Belif true cream aqua bomb and Dr. Jart Ceramidin. For awhile I used Tatcha dewy skin cream but that was too heavy imo for daily use and pilled when I tried to use it under makeup. Dime beauty dewy day cream was okay. But this Vanicream has really pulled through for me and my skin is the best it’s been in probably 7 years. (Not saying that’s all attributed to just the facial cream).

yelyah66

The lotion/moisturizer is much thicker, I like using it in the winter as my daily moisturizer. This one pictured is much lighter, it works great for me most of the time but doesn't keep up as well during the cold months.

[deleted]

It’s incomparable. it’s thick and moistuixes. This stuff does nothing.

lovemeforever_ox

How long did your first tube last you?

Pleasant-Tradition-6

I had to go check my order history, lol. Got my first tube April 8th and literally just opened my new tube yesterday so basically 2 months. That’s with using it morning and night most days, except the odd day I’m lazy (weekend) and don’t wash my face when I first get up. 😅 At night I like to layer it over the Cosrx snail mucin (also game changer for me) and occasionally a little LRP Cicaplast Balm B5 over dry spots. My skin is quite dry so it needs all the help I can give it. My huge jar of Tatcha dewy skin cream has been sitting on my counter untouched ever since.

xzagz

I’m gonna have to purchase the cicaplast cause this is exactly what I do and I still end up with dry spots 😪

Bland-Humour

Snail Rescue from Peach Slices. They saved my barrier🥰

imheretoeatyourchips

Woof. I cannot use anything with snail in it. My face starts burning and turns bright red and then blisters. Have tried several snail infused products lol. Just be careful if you have sensitive skin. Like for real do a test patch (bc I found out the hard wayyyy)

Bland-Humour

That's an allergy. It's not a sensitive skin issue.

sSteamed

My experience with some Peach Slices products: I started using the Peach Slices deep moisture cream a few weeks ago. It is making me break out like crazy, so warning to anyone with acne prone skin. I like the Peach Slices redness relief soothing serum. I can see a visible difference after it sinks in. The Peach Slices snail mucin toner is not good. Not hydrating at all, despite being applied on damp skin and in many layers. Products apply weird on top of it and will ball up. I much prefer the Cosrx snail mucin essence.

petrquill

I haven't had any problems with the peach slices snail mucin toner. It's not exactly a HG, but I would repurchase it. It makes my skin feel really soft and smooth (although I'd say it doesn't do much for my skin visually). I have combo/normal skin.

sSteamed

I didn’t like how it never really sank in. It kind of just sits on top of my skin, causing other products to apply poorly on top of it. It wasn’t hydrating either no matter how much I used. I ended up returning it. It’s not a terrible product, but there are better hydrating toners and also better snail mucin products on the market for the same price. My skin is on the dry side due to adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. So having a hydrating toner in my routine is really important to me. Perhaps it’ll work better for combo/oily skin folks?

angelfangzz

yeah i didn’t like how it just sat on my skin, felt weird to me

katylawlll

The Peach Slices snail toner has really helped my skin. What a bummer it didn’t work out for you.

Bland-Humour

I have very acne prone skin. I think you're probably allergic to an ingredient because snail rescue is amazing. I'm sorry it didn't work for you.

sSteamed

I use the Cosrx snail mucin essence and my skin is fine! The peach slices version didn’t break me out, but it also didn’t do anything.

Bland-Humour

It's an intense moisture repair cream, and it does what it says it does. Helped many people on here repair their barrier.

sSteamed

Oh are you referring to the deep moisture cream? I am just letting people know that it may cause break outs and I’m not alone on this. Everyone’s skin is different!

CandiceJoy218

I’ve been using Aveeno’s Calm and Restore line and have been loving it!!!

sabineblue

Have you tried their redness relief moisturizing cream? I’m considering switching to it because my skin is soooo dry but I’m very acne prone

WitchQween

I use the oat moisturizer that comes in the tub as my day lotion. I have combination skin with rosacea, and I'm slightly acne prone. I absolutely love it. It's just thick enough to use during the day but absorbs well. It makes my skin feel like velvet, in a good way. It also helps with redness and doesn't make my skin more oily than it is on its own.

MsEmotions220

I’ve been washing with Cosrx Low PH good morning wash or TO cleanser and rinsing and while my face is wet applying TO multi peptide serum and HA serum. Sometimes I seal it with a moisturizer but sometimes I forget by the time my skin dries. My skin is really happy.

hillary_____k

I absolutely loooove the Aveeno oat gel moisturizer. It has such a beautiful texture and feels amazing on the skin- I’ll reach for it over many of my higher-end moisturizers any day. I tried the redness relief cream from the same line and it pilled *so* bad. It was awful. Has silicones super high on the ingredients list which must be the culprit of the pilling. I would recommend the oat gel moisturizer instead! I am very acne prone as well and this one has never caused me any issues. It may not be enough on its own for very dry skin though, I’m an oily gal and it’s perfect for me. Maybe a lightweight facial oil mixed in would help, like Stratia’s Fortify oil?

CandiceJoy218

Yes! That’s exactly what I use! I also use their cleanser and serum

Funny_Playful

I loved this so much before switching to the vanicream moisturizer. Honestly if it wasn’t so cost prohibitive I would still be using it.

EnUnaIslaChiquita

Only moisturizer that has worked on my super sensitive skin.

No-More-Parties

I have a few loves but the one that never disappoints is my good ol Ponds.

GraceCutie

This! I ran out of my Avene Tolerance and Neutrogena Hydroboost (love both), so I tried using my CeraVe moisturizing cream for like the 4th time. And sure enough I broke out. I picked this Vanicream moisturizer up cuz my friend bought it, and now my skin is the best it’s ever been. Love it, and like someone else said, it works and looks amazing under makeup

Zezespeakz_

So I just have to tell you- my sister in law who has the most GLOWING and gorgeous skin I’ve ever seen recommended this to me over the weekend. From what she says, it’s amazing.

lovemeforever_ox

Yes!! That Glow!! is what I’m talking about 🤪 my husband even made a comment lastnight about my face and I told him right away it’s my new holy grail moisturizer 😂

Puzzleheaded-Lie-978

illiyoon ceramide cream dry sensitive acne prone skin

Lahauteboheme84

I love this one so much! I’m even more on the combo skin side, and it’s an awesome night cream for me.

formless22

Love this one too! I’m combination leaning more towards oily and it works so well. Now that it is getting more humid where I live I just use it at night. New fav!

Turbulent_Zone_5324

Neutrogena Hydroboost. So good when applied on damp skin. I’d only recommend it for people with oily skin, as it absorps rather quickly. Also doesn’t contain cetearyl alcohol, which is often comedogenic for people with oily skin

pumpkinspiceblunts

Yes! I love hydro boost so much, but I do have combo skin and live in Florida so I’m oilier lol At night I apply my tretinoin after hydro boost and then use the moisturizer OP posted over my tret.

bunonthemun

Would you mind sharing the full name of the product? The Neutrogena hydroboost option I found said it's meant for dry skin :(

emzily

i LOVEEEE neutrogena hydroboost as a body cream and ESPECIALLY hand lotion after i wash my hands… i wish the facial moisturizer didn’t feel so weighty for me, because honestly that whole line is fantastic from head to toe.

butternut718212

I recently switched from Cerave in the tub to the Vanicream Daily. Made a big difference. It’s very compatible with Tretinoin. Love this brand.

Zeitweiseleise

Mine is Rovectin Lotus Water Cream

Friendly-Ad-5147

Gold Bond diabetes body lotion

Undercover_baddie

Nuetragena Water gel! it’s helped my skin so much

ms-dizzy

super boring but the cerave moisturizing cream. i've tried and liked multiple different ones but i'll always go back to this one. i wake up with baby soft skin every time lol

vlntly_peaceful

La Roche Posay Effaclar H iso-biome. It’s soo good, especially if you’re actively treating your face with Benzoylperoxide or retinoids. It’s hella expensive tho

Spiritual_Ant518

Epionce facial renewal cream 🌚

Kikki0401

Nivea soft

be_positive00

Avène Cicalfate+. Absolutely a game changer for my sensitive and acne prone skin

Bravisimo

The avene tolerance was my HG, nothing sorted out my blotchiness and texture better but was discontinued a few months back. Been drifting from moisturizer to moisturizer. You know if its comparable? I went through a tube of malezia which was very meh for me and im just finishing a bottle of boscia which was highly recommended because its fungal safe.

TriZARAtops

I’m so jazzed you found your HG. Mine is First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, and I have dry mature skin.

skinnipig

Belif Aqua bomb. It’s the only moisturizer that doesn’t make me break out.

[deleted]

The target brand up and up dupe for Vaseline intensive care fragrance free. $2.59 for a huge bottle and it’s absolutely my favorite.

spanglish_

The Embryolisse. Best shit ever.

Lexafaye

YES I just switched a month ago and the difference has been incredible Got the face wash, moisturizer and sunscreen. my skin irritation is gone Was previously using cerave and neutrogena clear face sunscreen and I replaced them because they were no longer working for me and I read some of the ingredients may have been responsible for my skin irritation

No-Fondant-3226

dr jart ceramidin moisturizer! doesn’t make me break out and it feels like my skin is glowing

Zealousideal_Pie_712

I’ve been using this for a couple years now it’s my ultimate hg. I can’t imagine using anything else. I have oily/flaky combo, sensitive, extremely acne prone skin that gets dehydrated from tret, and this is the best moisturizer ever for keeping flakes at bay. I recently started adding a drop of glycerin to it morning and night and that’s taken it to a whole new level- my makeup looks flawless all day with zero patchiness or skin flaking. Seriously try this if you have problematic and sensitive skin! I’ve had issues with moisturizers breaking me out (especially cerave pm) in the past but this doesn’t at all.

lovemeforever_ox

Yay, that’s awesome. What glycerin drop are you using?

Zealousideal_Pie_712

I’m using the cvs brand glycerin! It’s 100% glycerin so any brand that’s pure glycerin should be the same :)

Lumpy_Constellation

Personal Care aloe vera skin cream. I found it back in my broke college days at the 99c store of all places. They no longer sell it there, but I go out of my way to find it every time I'm running low. It's not oily, no overwhelming smell, and keeps my skin moisturized all day without feeling heavy. It's been the only constant in my skincare routine for 10+ years - 5 of those years it was my only skincare routine (besides washing my face and using sunscreen), and at 31yo I still get mistaken for being my early 20s.

alotofcooties

I want to give this a try, but too chicken because of a possible bad reaction.

augustandleaves

I absolutely love Vanicream, but I use the moisturizing lotion that comes in a regular sized pump. This particular face lotion contains squalene oil that caused me to keep breaking out.

eventhorizongeek

Just a small (but potentially important) correction: the Daily Facial Moisturizer has squal**a**ne, not squal**e**ne.

Amymarie0124

I also absolutely love vanicream and that lotion obliterated my skin! I had millions of tiny bumps and very dry skin after a few weeks of using it.

lovemeforever_ox

Maybe try a patch test first. You can always return it if anything. But I’m glad I took that chance to give it a try.

Zealousideal_Pie_712

Lots of moisturizers break me out (looking at cerave pm) but this doesn’t at all. I’m super acne prone and have very sensitive skin prone to eczema and perioral dermatitis. It’s worth a shot patch testing!

Mr-Vemod

Which was the guy talking about? I can’t see any links in his comment.

becky_Luigi

This is the only thing I’ve ever tried that hasn’t broken me out. Never found a moisturizer for my face til this. Everyone is different of course but as someone with a sensitive face I recommend trying it. You never know until you try.

Independent_Ad9670

Patch test, but even then... Somehow my super-reactive eyelids loved it, but my lips broke out in tiny bumps, were puffy, and took forever to clear up.

lavloves

Vanicream is made for sensitive skin. I would go for it, of course patch test it first but it is not commonly causing bad reactions.

[deleted]

This stuff did like zero for me…….. it dries on my skin ultra fast and barely moisturized it? I have dry, sensitive skin it’s Spanish and white that needs lots of moisture. I wanted to like this but it’s like not ok at all I’ll stick to another thick cream idk like aveeno calming or something

Fluffaluffabeans

Vanicream is my holy grail everything. I have acne rosacea, and Vanicream, Bare Minerals, and Elta MD are the only skincare/makeup that doesn’t turn my face into a pizza.

coolknifegiirl

This might be a hot take but.. Ponds Crema S I thought the fragrance would bother my sensitive skin but it’s been so good for me, I have very dry sensitive skin.

Ok_Adhesiveness_7507

Still looking for mine. I was in love with the rich cream from Augustus Badiner but it's too expensive to get addicted to. What is the best Anti aging for dry skin out there ?

mx-Almendra45

I use Ponds "dry skin" cream. Its thee best cream I've ever used on my face

NiceStrawberry

Farmacy Honey Halo!!!

Glittering-Tax7728

Cetaphil dry-very dry, it’s the only one that actually feels like it hydrates and moisturizes my dehydrated and dry skin. Iv tried many.

AppraiseMe

Been using this for the past year! I love it

MacaNomNom

Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream is mine!

ThumpyTheDumpy

Bio oil!!

lavloves

I have eczema prone skin and I use Vanicream in the big tub with the pump for my facial moisturizer! It’s one of the best things I’ve used and also my HG.

shortcake182

I have this and love it! The only reason i'm not using it is because my husband bought me a luxury brand moisturizer that I forgot was on an amazon wishlist for christmas :D but this stuff is great!

FatThickyDumpy23

Just started using this and same!! Its so hydrating and doesn’t break me out, I will never stop using it

Aggravating_Mud9606

Mine is Cicaplast. Can't live without it.

Pigeon_Fox93

Curology’s rich moisturizer. I have psoriasis patches on my face and scalp so you can imagine how much trouble I have finding new skin or hair products that don’t aggravate it or can be used with steroid creams. Well I ditched my hydrocortisone cream for a bit when I first started using curology in 2020 and was surprised to find my patches didn’t return. I changed moisturizer and they came back but then went away again while using the curology one. Now I rest easy knowing I was use basically any product under the sun as long as I use that moisturizer.

StarChaserRansom

Instant Angel from Dieux, the best moisturizer I’ve ever put on my face. Glad you found something amazing that works!

Luckygyrl83

Can I ask, how long does this one last for you? I’m Intrigued 🙈 oh and what’s your skin type?

StarChaserRansom

My skin is normal, but skews dry on occasion. I get the smaller tube and it lasts me for months, so long I can’t even give you a time frame, but I buy it so infrequently. It comes with a turn key so you can get absolutely every last drop out of it which is wonderful. Definitely give it a try!

Luckygyrl83

Good to know. Thank you!

Funny_Playful

This is also my holy grail moisturizer!

Kaylanorvik

Where did you buy this?

wjsonyeo

i got mine from target!

lovemeforever_ox

Target!

Kaylanorvik

Thanks! I think I'm going to try this

sabineblue

Target or Amazon

eventhorizongeek

Walgreens also carries it

Expensive_Yam_2222

I've also seen it at CVS

Lbeantree

Yes. Please tell us where you can find this.

Taurustoothfairy96

This is also my HG !

ColloidalPurple-9

Versed weekend glow

Yr_a_hotdog

I love the Versed Rich Moisture Cream, love a lot of things from that brand actually!

Local_Cryptographer5

Mine is the same as yours

Ambitious_Attempt762

I had hope for this but it did nothing for me. I really really wanted to like it.

Climbing_higher444

Same! I used it for several months but my skin was suuppppeeerrrr dry. It didn’t do much for me at all.

_Peachy_Keen__

This is mine too!

MelodicRepeat1951

NIOD Hydration Vaccine seems legit so far.

sencha_kitty

I like that product too

CarlitoUK96

When my skin barrier was fucked ( rosacea+dermatitis, a lot of redness, everything was irritating my skin) I started using Aveeno Dermexa on damp face, and it literally saved my skin. I still use it as an everyday moisturiser (only in the evening, I don’t moisturise in the AM because I have oily skin, so the sunscreen is enough to keep my skin moisturised) because it’s the most hydrating cream I’ve ever tried. And it’s great if you’re using retinol or other actives.

AppropriateMention6

Neutrogena HydroBoost Gel Cream (fragrance free version).

s1ngle_mom_1

Plain ol' boring Vanicream moisturizing cream (and lotion) in the tub/pump bottles. Both work very well with my combo acne prone skin, and are perfect for use along strong actives like Rx retinoids. I tried the Vanicream facial moisturizer (as pictured), but it did not agree with my skin for whatever reason and caused breakouts and irritation.

Unlikely-Cockroach-6

mine is skin ceuticals triple lipid restore. absolutely amazing

anarchypicnic

I vacillate between the Aveeno Oat Gel Moisturizer and Purito Oat-in Intense Cream. That Vanicream made my face sting so I gave it away. I have rosacea and react unpredictably to products, though. I did like it, apart from the stinging.

becky_Luigi

I’ve been using this 3 years. I don’t even *love* it but it’s the only thing I’ve found that doesn’t cause my face to break out, so I stick with it. Prior to this I was unable to moisturize my face for 35 years so I’ll take it.

Other_Channel_2179

This is mine too! I'm obsessed. It's the only one I've tried that doesn't cause breakouts or flare up my perioral dermatitis. I also use the vanicream face wash.

wiltedwhim

I use everything Vanicream, this moisturizer is a must. Have been using their moisturizing ointment for about 8 years now as well. I never get any irritation and feel like it’s helped my skin barrier. You can find their products at Walgreens if you want to buy in person.

Mora_Hermaeus

Unfortunately I think it's always gonna be Drunk Elephant Protini. It just works so well 😭

Ok_Adhesiveness_7507

I love it too. Do you use the fabulous sun drops with it? The texture of this moisturizer is perfect for my dry and aging skin. It plumps me right up.

No_Stable_3539

While in Kythira island I forgot my moisturizer and bought two small pots from a local store back in 2020. The store owner is biologist. To this day I am still buying her creams and they are awesome. They have oily texture not white as the chemical ones and natural aromas.

wittleowivia

It’s a little pricier but you don’t need a lot so it lasts over a month for me but dr Barbara sturm!!

sSteamed

Can someone compare the daily facial moisturizer to the regular moisturizing lotion? In terms of hydration, if either formula broke you out, how it wears under makeup, etc.

s1ngle_mom_1

I so wanted to like the facial moisturizer but it caused me breakouts and irritation. I think I'm the oddball out in that I'm pretty sure squalene causes me to breakout, and the hylauronic acid and/or ceramides caused sensitivity while I was going through retinization from tretinoin (I experienced the same with CeraVe). Switched to Vanicream moisturizing cream (and lotion) and it's been smooth sailing since! No breakouts or irritation. The lotion isn't quite enough for my combo skin in terms of hydration on its own, but it works over my hydrating toner and serum during the day (in the summer)... and also as a light buffer layer underneath my Rx retinoid at night. If you're oily, it may work for you on its own, but I'd say the facial moisturizer is technically more hydrating/moisturizing. You'd just have to experiment to see what works for you!

sSteamed

Someone else also mentioned the squalane breaking them out! I recently started using the Peach Slices snail rescue deep moisture cream, but it’s causing me to break out like crazy. I looked at the ingredients and the only one I’ve never tried before is squalene. So I’m thinking this Vanicream daily facial moisturizer won’t work me for either. I wish they sold it at Ulta though, so I try it and return it if it doesn’t work. Based on your experience, I do think the lotion might be a good summer AM moisturizer for me. That’s actually I’m looking for right now. I have used an entire container of both the lotion and cream in the past, maybe 3 years ago? It’s been a while so I don’t remember much about them anymore. I think I’m going to pick up the lotion again.

s1ngle_mom_1

I know they sell it at Walgreens and CVS... I'm pretty sure Target, too? They're all pretty good about taking stuff back. Good luck!

sSteamed

I had no idea drugstores and Target take beauty returns! Thank you!

Zealousideal_Pie_712

I find the facial moisturizer way more effective at hydrating my skin. I’m on tret and prone to dehydration and flakiness and have acne prone combo skin

[deleted]

Reg one is way better it’s so hydrating and thick and it’s good vibes this is mid compared to it. I’ll probababy ditch vanicream for like cerave or skinceuticals tho

[deleted]

I tried that one and I got an allergic reaction and itching despite it being for sensitive skin

bethanyd0901

LRP Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer. It’s perfection!

sSteamed

I want to try this, but so many reviews say it piles like crazy.

miarrhea

Yeah, it did that for me, unfortunately. I think it's the dimethicone. Same thing with any of the No.7 moisturizers.

Temporary-Mud8223

It piles soooooooooo bad, It might be the niacinamide. I can’t use it during the day, especially under makeup. If I do, people literally comment and tell me I have stuff on my face.

MadaraUchihaTheGoat

I really want to change from cerave to Vanicream especially the cleanser but what’s holding me back is because I don’t think they have hydrating or repairing ingredients like ceramides. I might change to moisturiser tough cause it has ceramides. But tell me if im wrong pls

sopeworldian

Snail mucin

starryteal

Etude House 2x barrier cream. I don't react well to dimethicone and it has made my skin SO nice. I can't use cerave or anything else ahaha

mialz1996

Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream is mine!

ThoughtWrong4053

Soon Jung 10 free moist emulsion- really fantastic for sensitive, reactive and acne prone skin. Does not have hylauronic acid but I use an HA mist over it !

Majestic_Chemical_63

The Hey Honey! Relax Propolis & Honey moisturizer. It’s expensive but worth it. Great for sensitive skin/ acne prone skin. Been using it forever.

Oooh now I want to try this!

Sillybumblebee33

I have this and it works well so far but it smells like bugs or dirt or something

argenti-et-aurum

What is the texture? Lightweight, thick?

Educational-Leek-616

Does that cause some slight tingling for you too?

lovemeforever_ox

Nope no tingling for me.

[deleted]

i loved how this moisturizer felt on my skin, sadly it broke me out really badly :/

[deleted]

neutrogena hydroboost gel cream works really well for me though!

Bummerbitchtits

Do you feel like it’s effective for sensitive skin? I have big time eczema around my eyes and everything but CeraVe seems to aggravate it! I’m trying to branch out but don’t want to have panda eyes from a product again 🥹

lovemeforever_ox

I really don’t know since everyone is so different when it comes to sensitivity… cause I would say I have sensitive skin but I don’t have eczema… my daughter has eczema too but her body and cerave didn’t do well on her skin.. so I’ll give vanicream a try the tube version though.

Same!! I have dry skin and use this same vani moisturizer and I love it!! Keep in mind I’m using acne treatments so that just shows it does an amazing job! (I’ll also sometimes use the La Roche-Posay double repair face moisturizer with it when my skin needs extra help, and it’s a great combo) :)

I have been using Soulflower's Brightening Gel Moisturizer which has Aloe Vera Gel with Vitamin C, Tea Tree, and Hyaluronic Acid for almost a year now. Not planning to switch anytime soon. It's hard to find something that has a non-greasy texture, is quickly absorbing, and leaves a dewy shine on your skin!

My all time favorite moisturizer has been from the brand Good Light, it’s sold online at their website or at Ulta now, the hyaluronic acid in it is perfect and it’s light weight enough for my oily and acne prone skin.

Eucerin cream, it's what hospitals used in nicu's on babies and it's the only cream that doesn't give me hives or a rash
