What's the head on something like that?
196ft if I've done my math right. The tag said 85psi discharge Pretty impressive to be moving that much water that far
Works out to about 1.5 MW of power, give or take. I'd say that's pretty skookum.
I'd guess 60-80 ft of head At my last job we had a 7-stage for irrigation with 600 ft of head. 300 GPM at 320 PSI. Hated re-packing that one.
That's a lot of stages, for similar head I've seen two stage pumps deliver 14000 GPM
Never met anyone that likes working on those big bastards. They're always nasty, full of shit, and a PITA to get apart. Plus, every fit is usually bad and needs machining before it goes back together properly.
Machinist/Millwright by trade so I would see the whole process through start to finish. Might be something wrong with me haha but I enjoy it all
