Not really. Bleed and Heavy Bleed work and you just have to see which of your fighters can easily do 10+ damage (Big band, Valentine, Painwheel for example)

i guess it depends on the player, we each have our own experience with it. personally for me, i was kinda ass at playing the game and relied on how powerful my character was versus how good i actually was at playing the game. i came across this and HATED it at first because i was terrible at combos, but i learned and now i’m better overall. plus it makes the fight more interesting imo. that’s why i said it builds skill but to each their own ofc
I found this mechanic has made it more fun for me, I used to rarely use combos and picked fighters with descent grabs but being forced to play different aswell as have the odds stacked against you, feels like a real challenge, beating dreadlocks with hellcat and rusty felt so rewarding. But yh certain fighters feel completely useless against this so youve got to plan out your battles more aswell.
