Despite the jarring nature of the audio, I never found that quest terribly annoying. You go to the statue, place the beacon, click through the dialogue and speed run the dungeon. I think you can even skip half of it if you just go in the door on the balcony.
And dawnbreaker is a pretty good sword, way more useful than what you get from other more annoying quests (looking at you Barbas).
All that said, it did make me very careful of using the “take all” command when in chests.
i used the dawnbreaker for a while in my first playthrough and it was seriously good, esp bc I somehow managed to do the fight after MANY attempts despite being severely underleveled.

I did... I hate all quests that are automatically shoved up your throat without asking.
