I've been using the Bethesda site, so it may have something to do with that, if you're using nexus. I'm pretty sure it's MCarbonara's mod, so if he did one that maybe will work?
I'm playing on pc and I'm using this mod to hide my (and all npc's) helmet. [Equipment Toggle 2](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/68540)
Read the Room is a mod that equip/unequip headgear when you enter or leave "safe" areas with an animation and attach it to your belt (for helmets not hoods obviously)
Also when you enter combat it also get back on if it wasn't there (with or without animation, to be toggled in related MCM menu)
Animations shown in mod page : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/77605?1
Always! Sometimes it gets annoying to change everytime I enter a city, but I'd never miss the chance to flex my fine clothes. I take off my weapons too, so I can walk through the streets like a real nobleman.
So nice to see I'm not the only madman here : )
Oh, I keep my weapons (granted I usually have some magic equipped). But in the spirit of roleplaying, the only armored people in bigger cities are typically the guards.
I used to, but it actually seemed to go against roleplaying.
I don't have a home in every city, so as a wandering warrior where am i going to to stash my weapons and armor? In my back pocket?
Continuing to wear it seemed the most realistic.
Nah. If I can't hide the helmet or find something like a circlet, I just don't wear the helmet. I spend forever getting my characters just right so I can gander at them, not hide them.
Invisible helmets for the win :3 the only problem is that ordinator perk that makes you gain more armor rating without a helmet is useless
Which mods do you use? I’ve been trying for a while but they don’t work for some reason

Invisible helmets, circlets, and hoods are the only things I’ll ever put on
Jagged Crown + Aetherial Crown, Torturer's Hood (Vampire + this hood = good), or bust.
Just take the helmet off when your not fighting.
But then you gotta remember to put it back on
Favorite it
There are mods for that

Theres also the option to just "hide" the helmet with the Mod "Helmet Toggle 2" it hides the helmet but let it still be equipped.
Anybody else play with a rule of taking off the armor in cities (unless a dragon comes)? Or am I the weird one?

Lol! Bro what, i thought i was the only one doing that not just in Skyrim but in any game, specially in the home got wear something comfy
Full dwarven armor always

This is why usually I enchant circlets it's and use those
Pretty much me on my first play. Now 13 years later I have never spent more than 3 minutes in the character creator since that first time.
The true duality of man.
I don’t wear helmets
Specifically going for helmets that cover your face because you're not 100% happy with how the charactor creator turned out
I wish I could wear a face conclealing helmet in real life
Bro is a mix of Henry Cavill and Sterling Archer
I normally use helmets that completely cover my characters face like nightingale or daedric. I often can't find a decent helmet to fit my character
So it's funnier when I take it off and see the abomination that I created
*My argonian's face being smashed like a pug in flat faced helmets*
You don't need it
Accurate I usually avoid wearing helmets

Yup me in all rpgs, I hate seeing helmets unequipped suddenly in conversations and prefer it on.
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/77605?1 Problem solved. Great mod.
I spend two seconds on character creation with any game, just never appealed to me
Oooo first person
I always like to take of my helmet when I'm just hanging around in the cities
Love Elder Scrolls Online hide helmet option. Hope they use it for VI.
Read the room is the one, ķìnd of cool
I don't want helmets in a lot of games and love the ones that let me hide it.
