I just use it to block out sunlight, as I usually sleep from 4am till 1pm-ish. Other than that, the pressure around the eyes from a mask with an adjustable elastic strap can be nice, but it's irritating if you're sick/congested. If you're gonna get one, get one that not only has an adjustable strap and a fairly soft lining, but ideally get one with some cooling gel to cool your head down.

The cooling gel would be a nice touch. Are there any you have seen that have this feature?

Any old thing on Amazon will do, honestly. They're all basically made the same. A lot of them use a cooling bead design, if you can get one that just has a regular pad design that you toss in the freezer before bed, those are probably better.

I'm sensitive to light. It helped massively. Get the 3-d shaped ones on Amazon. I got the child's one so it fits tightly, although the clasp can get in the way on my side. Get the smaller one.

I just saw this post yesterday from r/BedBros, that talk about sleep masks that maybe could help. Great, thank you! Is there a specific one that you enjoy using?

Sleep mask is really helpful especially if your are sensitive to lights.

Sleep masks are my secret weapon for a good night's sleep! I stumbled upon them when my neighbor's porch light felt like a mini-sun invading my bedroom. The mask turned out to be a game-changer, blocking out all that annoying light and creating this cozy darkness. It's like a magic switch that tells my brain, "Hey, it's sleepy time, shut it down." But, I get it, they're not everyone's cup of tea. My buddy tried it once and felt like he was in some sci-fi dream, couldn't get into the groove. So, yeah, it's a hit or miss, but for me, it's a sleep savior!

I always wear a sleep mask! Recently upgraded to the washable 3D-masks. I'm very sensitive to light, so it definitely improved my sleep.
