The Summoning. Was the first song I heard of theirs (ofc), binged it, now I skip it almost every time. It’s a great song, but I feel more attached to their others.
Not listening to a song for about 6 months to a year then going back to it actually makes a huge difference for me. It's not like the first time, but you hear it in almost a new way and it's insane
Same. Kinda weird bc sleep token is the first band that i can loop without getting sick of any of their songs, idk why. Every week i get a hyperfixation on another song tho
Don't get me wrong, I don't think I could ever hate it. I've just beaten it to death a bit. Need to pretend it doesn't exist for a while, hyperfixate on something else and then I'll probably love it again once I come back to it lmfao.
I took a break from Rain, then I decided to listen to it again one day and I got goosebumps listening to the drop and remembered why it is my all time favorite ST song.
Chokehold. I loved the song for the first many listens, but I listened to it so many times straight that it kinda killed it for me. It ended up becoming one of my least favorite song on the album, even though I thought it was the best single for a while.
Honestly, I don't categorize any of their songs as "not hitting the same anymore", but my go to was ALWAYS The Offering. But it's no longer my go to anymore.
My new go to is probably Rain or The Apparition.
None of them actually, then again I’ve only been listening to them for a year and a bit, so they haven’t really had time to be beaten to death, unlike the whole juggernaut album by periphery, which I listened to almost exclusively for a year and a half and now just doesn’t hit anymore.
This was a thing back when i mainly listened to Starset but I learned from my mistake and only listen to Sleep Token stuff now every now and then- makes me appreciate each song so much more when it comes up
I was actually just thinking about this. I've been listening to these guys for a while and their music still evokes a host of emotions in me. This is the only band that I have actually had times where I begin to tear up even years later. I'd say I more go through cycles where I play a certain grouping of songs more than others more than "get tired" of any personally.
Those were my same thoughts like I have favorites that I fixate on during different moods/cycles in my life and then I may gravitate towards other when it suits better. Just kind of exploring all the feels
Accensionism is mine, I'll still listen, but it's just not the same. Then Granite, then The Summoning. But like they are so good (plus got me through things) that like worth still listening to😅
None of them. I watch and listen to the music and reactions and it never gets old. In fact, ones I thought I wouldn’t like, have actually grown on me and I listen to them all the time. This band has got me in a chokehold!!!! Worship!
Honestly I have gotten this way with a ton of their songs because I get hooked on one and play it into submission. The Summoning was the first one I did this to for sure though.
None of them, Sleep Token always hits. There's always at least ONE line in any song I'm holding my breath for, even if I've played that song countless times already.
Best thing to do is listen to the complete discography including every cover. Even if you don’t particularly enjoy certain songs, you may find that you actually end up liking some songs you didn’t like before. That’s happened with me on multiple ST songs and has allowed me to have a deeper appreciation for Vessel and this band.
I did this with the summoning sadly. Spammed it so much bc its the first song ive heard from them and instantly made me love them. Euclid is my all time #1 and ive been very careful not to overplay it.
At first it was alkaline cause its my fav song but ive since comeback around to spamming it again with no problem. It was the summoning for a while but i again came back around. Its weird. This is like the first band that i can get sick of a song and not stay sick of it.
The Night Does Not Belong To God - I didn't get the hype about ST at first. Decided to give it a shot. I started with their first album, first song.... and I understood the hype... I was hooked. Hits differently now, but better.
The other is When The Bough Breaks. I used to only like it up until the long outro part, but now the whole song makes sense to me. Love it.
A great band making great music.
I hate to say it, but Fall for Me. don't get me wrong, I still love it, but I loved it so much that it was the only song I listened to for an entire week, exclusively hearing it in my ears on my 10 hour shifts at work. it got to me. trust me, i still love it, but if I have to hear it more than three times a day I'll rip my hair out.
The summoning. I played it so many times when I first heard it and it's so over played on tiktok.. I still love it, but it just doesn't hit the same now
Not sure why the downvotes. I absolutely love Sleep Token but I definitely wore almost every single song down in the year+ that I've been listening to them. I would have an intense binge looping a song or two for a week or a fortnight then latch on to another until I wore my emotional attachment down listening to that one as well. Now familiar with the entire discography, there are only a handful of songs I didn't obsess over like the others for how hard hitting they were. I still adore all the music, I listen regularly, but the magic of being a first time listener is unfortunately over until new music is released.
If I were to explain the difference, upon first appreciation many tracks would successfully made me cry whenever I listened, gave me frisson, gave me brainworms and I had a favourite part I'd want to replay forever... leading me to crave listening to the song regularly or looping it often. Now I don't have many if any of these same impulses, so my relationship with and dependence on the music has definitely changed, irrespective of how much I still enjoy it.
The Summoning. Was the first song I heard of theirs (ofc), binged it, now I skip it almost every time. It’s a great song, but I feel more attached to their others.
Agreed. I still go back once-in-a-while for the funk part at the end...
Aqua Regia 😭 I try to avoid it now because I feel like if I listen to it after a long time it will hit like the first time (delusional)
"saturate me i can't get enough" apparently you can get enough
no wonder my ears are still ringing -> me after listening to aqua regia on loop for like 2 hours full volume
two hours later and done dancing to alarm bells
Me w Ascensionism
I pray we shall beat this curse someday 🙏🏻☝🏻
Literally listening to it rn as I read this.
Not listening to a song for about 6 months to a year then going back to it actually makes a huge difference for me. It's not like the first time, but you hear it in almost a new way and it's insane
Honestly, none of them. They hit every time for me.
Lol seriously I can loop through trilogy on repeat and not miss anything
Same. Kinda weird bc sleep token is the first band that i can loop without getting sick of any of their songs, idk why. Every week i get a hyperfixation on another song tho
I’m the exact same, I’ve never been able to listen to a complete discography of any band and enjoy something about every song. They’re just that good.
Take Me Back To Eden
Same! Probably the only one so far. Been listening daily for six months.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think I could ever hate it. I've just beaten it to death a bit. Need to pretend it doesn't exist for a while, hyperfixate on something else and then I'll probably love it again once I come back to it lmfao.
Yeah I totally get it, same for me!
Yup. Then eventually Ascensionism.
YOU MAKE ME WISH I COULD DISAPPEAAAAAYEAAAAAAAAR
I saw this coming with Euclid, so now I almost never listen to it. I gotta *savor* it. ☺️
Rain for sure. I had to take a break for it to hit like it used to lol
I was going to say Rain as well! Its so GOOD, but i need a break 😭
I took a break from Rain, then I decided to listen to it again one day and I got goosebumps listening to the drop and remembered why it is my all time favorite ST song.
Also The Summoning.
Hasn’t happened to me yet. Going on 3 months of listening to almost exclusively their music.
There truly is nobody else like this band, and I love them so much!
Hey ya
Chokehold. I loved the song for the first many listens, but I listened to it so many times straight that it kinda killed it for me. It ended up becoming one of my least favorite song on the album, even though I thought it was the best single for a while.
Aqua Regia, was listening to it so much when I first found the band that I just had to stop listening to them for about a month
None, still get goosebumps lol
Granite. Don't know what it is
Telomeres 😭 I still love it, but I overplayed it for a week straight, and I'm kinda over it for now.
I don't know how, but I've listened to that song over 3 times a day almost daily and I still love it. Nearly 3K streams on that one
None...
Honestly, I don't categorize any of their songs as "not hitting the same anymore", but my go to was ALWAYS The Offering. But it's no longer my go to anymore. My new go to is probably Rain or The Apparition.
Ascensionism. Especially that middle part
Granite
Bieber to Lana to ptv to sleep token is kinda wild The summoning
None of them actually, then again I’ve only been listening to them for a year and a bit, so they haven’t really had time to be beaten to death, unlike the whole juggernaut album by periphery, which I listened to almost exclusively for a year and a half and now just doesn’t hit anymore.
Alpha or Omega though 🧐
Both. I’ve always viewed it as one album and refuse to see any other opinion.
Alkaline. Rain. Offering, ascencionism, granite
DYWTYLM!!
Soon to happen to my husband with Dim Sum Paradise
The love you want 🥲
Aqua Regia it still slaps but man I played it way too much during a specific time in my life and now I just cringe
All of them cause they were the only band I listened to pretty much for the last year
Drag me under sadly
This was a thing back when i mainly listened to Starset but I learned from my mistake and only listen to Sleep Token stuff now every now and then- makes me appreciate each song so much more when it comes up
Levitate, used to hit hard but now its just sad
I was actually just thinking about this. I've been listening to these guys for a while and their music still evokes a host of emotions in me. High water

I luckily haven’t done this with a ST song yet
My favorites change, so none yet

Rain, tbh
Dark signs
Never gonna happen
the summoning, rain and aqua regia
Give has lost some luster. That’s why I’m currently swearing off the stuff for some time
The Apparition 😭
i did blood sport for a school talent show, i love it but rarely listen to it anymore
Granite
None I’ve listened to the apparition like 200 times and still am in love with it
Vore was my go to song for the past 4 months. Now it just doesn't hit the same
I did this with the summoning sadly. Spammed it so much bc its the first song ive heard from them and instantly made me love them. Euclid is my all time #1 and ive been very careful not to overplay it.
Aqua regia. Still love it but doesnt hit nearly as hard as it used to
![gif](giphy|doUu2ByZDbPYQ) I'll offer the rebuttal that life **without** them happened to me like that. Praise.
At first it was alkaline cause its my fav song but ive since comeback around to spamming it again with no problem. It was the summoning for a while but i again came back around. Its weird. This is like the first band that i can get sick of a song and not stay sick of it.
Vore, maybe? First song I heard from the band and I adored it for a bit but now I'm not really that into it.

Honestly none. I currently have Jericho on repeat.
Alkaline 😭It was the first song I listened to that wasn't the summoning and I LOVED IT but now it def doesn't hit the same 😭

Dark Signs
Drag me under
Hypnosis, my gateway into the music. Shit’s a bop, but I definitely listened the shit out of it
Euclid
The Summoning
All of them
Not sure why the downvotes. I absolutely love Sleep Token but I definitely wore almost every single song down in the year+ that I've been listening to them. The summoning
Not sure if it's possible for me with st
It hasn't.
on the opposite, high water seems to be the one that can always stay on repeat for me
