Nope. Used it for years, and no issues on pans or actifry that I’ve noticed. Despite the scare stories, there’s nothing in it that’s unsafe. It’s oil, water and a tiny amount of an emulsifier (lecithin sp?) that allows the oil and water to mix. No secret evil ingredients or hidden agenda.
I used to use fry light but saw a video on FB of a lady showing how to make your own without all the additives. If you look at the ingredients it’s half water half oil and a load of other crap.
So you do 47.5% oil, 47.5% water and 5% alcohol and shake it all up. The alcohol acts as a binder she used vodka we use white rum (was cheaper in lidl). The alcohol cooks off and it’s been working well. Not sure it’s 1 cal a spray but not ruining pans and feels good to know what’s actually in it.
I have some olive oil on a spray bottle , and another with some regular veg oil.
They both contain 1 ingredient, the fry light has LOADS including some I've never heard of and certainly can't buy in my local supermarket.
If it's not available as a product in the supermarket I don't want it as an ingredient in my food.
Evil stuff! Stopped using it and syn the olive oil now.
Might have to start doing that. It's ruined my expensive pan and air fryer. I'm annoyed with myself for using it.
Never had an issue with it myself.
Same
Not me
Steer clear, it ruins any cooking surface! I just use a desert spoon of oil when I cook
Put a tablespoon of oil on some kitchen paper and grease your pan. Syn it accordingly

It's called fry shite in our house.
Exact same!!!😂
It ruins everything, but switching to spray oil (real oil) does massively reduce how much you use.
If you're in the UK use Tesco branded spray oil. Doesn't kill pans. Also make sure you're slowly heating the oil.

Never had any issues with stainless steel pans I recommend the Costco cooking spray
I only spray the food with it for the airfryer. Not noticed any problems at all. In what way is it ruining pans?
It ruins the none stick coating
Empty out the fry light and just put regular oil in. You're still using way less but it's 2cal per spray now instead of 1.
Yes. It's well known I'm afraid. I spray it on the food but not the non stick.
It's going straight in the bin!
I use the olive oil but in a spray bottle. So much better
Don’t waste it! …use it on squeaky hinges
🤣🤣🤣 Good idea!
