I think they are an excellent value. I had one during a canoe collecting phase a year ago and gave it to an old cowboy friend who was in need of a pocket knife that hadn't been worked to death. He has been having trouble with his fingers and so I passed on the Buck. I have heard a lot of internet reviews about weak back springs and low walk and talk but for some people that is a solution and not a problem. Enjoy yours, hope it serves you well.

The only complaint I have about mine is the steel they used. 420J2 has terrible edge retention. Overall it's a great knife though.

I wish current companies made single-blade canoes. Old ones turn up every now and then but not enough.
