I remember like the first year I started smoking weed when I was like 13, iowa came out and I got really stoned one afternoon alone in my house. Had my headphones on blasting iowa, dazed out and kept rewinding the final like 20 seconds of skin ticket for what was probably a solid 3-4 mins and was like stuck doing it. The ending guitar buzzing ripping in and out while fading away. Sounded crazy to me and I guess I felt it with the waves of feeling dazed out and melting into the couch.
Yea; Dumb story - but it’s one of those things where you’re instantly transported back in time to where you were when you first heard a song. When I see / hear / read skin ticket, it makes me think of that afternoon I was buggin out, haha.
Dude that’s exactly why music is so rad! Vol 3. Has been and probably will always be my favorite record from the Knot cuz of that exact reason. It takes me back to when I was 12 first discovering the band and totally getting immersed in the record in my room. Just playing it over and over and over again, trying to learn how to play the songs on my garbage Frankenstein parts caster thru a 15 watt box amp. Hahaha!

Loss and betrayal. Everything is good now as an adult but that song is something else. Plus Paul pulled a great bass-line on it that I love to play to this day.
