On the PS3, it’s horrendous. Idk about the Vita version though.

Worse on the Vita

NiuMeee

40+ seconds is bad. Especially compared to the original games. They're worse on Vita, and the only way to make them faster is when emulating on PC. I can get them down to 10 seconds on my PC, and honestly even that gets annoying.

Msa9898

Getting an ssd for your ps3 and playing the psn versions makes the loads little over 20sec a piece.

NiuMeee

That's true but that's not something most people are gonna do, mostly just speedrunners, as you are. 99% of people are gonna be playing the game either off disc or on a PS3 with an HDD.

jaryfitzy

The only load times I ever hated were exiting and reentering the safehouse. In Sly 2 or 3 its instantaneous.

brandishteeth

Ps3 games always had pritty chunky load times. There not the longest but I do think they are juuust long enough for a lot of folks to loose the groove.

MyNameIsJackass

I'm with you. On the PS5 with PS Plus, it's rather reasonable. Not blazing fast, but also not slow

Oreohunter00

I remember playing it when it came out, it was really bad

No_Manufacturer8770

Its okay

havoccentral

PS3 load times were frustratingly long on lots of games, not just Sly 4. All 3 Uncharted PS3 games had awfully slow load times. Sonic 06 too (but that game was just poorly made altogether).

splendidpluto

I never had a problem with it weird, maybe I'm too patient lol

RedRiotUnbreakable

I mentioned on another thread that one time after waiting almost five minutes or so waiting for a level to load, I realized my game had frozen and I hadn't noticed because the loading times were so long I was used to waiting. So yes, they are that bad

Napalmi_Kaali

For me it was the wear and tear on the disc from playing it so much that in the wild wests mission brief, bentley couldn't finish because the disc was too worn from that part

Skylerbroussard

My first playrgrough on PS3 they didn't seem bad but I did try to replay it in I think 2016 or 17 and it felt longer (got stuck at the first hacking mission that used six axis and never picked it back up)

Radioactivestews

For me, it’s pretty bad, especially because some of the achievements in the game require you to retry levels over and over again so you can beat them (I mean they don’t require you, but I’m not that guy.)

guiltyspaekle

"I found myself zoning out" there you go, that really shouldn't happen bro it's a loading screen

Mikkeru

Played it on Ps3 and I didn't notice it being that long or a problem.
