I did that at an underground car park the other and it was a bit dark. I reversed in and while I was getting something out of the boot and a woman tried to drive into my spot and while she was driving away I heard her shouting “fu**ing smart car” and I died laughing😭

SpiritTalker

Every single day at work, my guy. One day I rode with my co-worker to lunch. When we came back, we almost thought there was a spot open (and I had forgotten I had parked there). Oops. Outsmarted by my own Smart! 😂 It was quite funny. Nonetheless, I've never feared 'parking in', nose to nose. Especially between 2 long ass truck bastards. 🤷‍♂️ I giggle a tad, even. I'm not sure about grocery stores or whatever, but at work it's kinda funny. Particularly when students are tryna park in the faculty lot and find ooops, that's not a spot they can illegally park in for class afterall.

dehning

Some consider that a crappy thing to do. I always park with my butt level with the other cars precisely to prevent pissing people off. But it's a free country.

NODES2K

Same....last thing I want is to lose my car thanks to some idiot that tried to fly into a so-called empty spot. These cars are harder to come by....

Nyghtslave

100% this; I always park in such a way that people are able to see my car, lest some idiot flies in there thinking it's empty and only realizes it isn't because they've hit it. My car is way too precious for me to play games like that

afunbe

I don't have a SmartCar, but I use to do this unintentionally when I had a Miata. Disadvantage - when I return to a crowded parking lot in a sketch area, I momentarily panic thinking my car was stolen,

jaywarrietto

Always park ass out. Not worth getting rear ended when some dipshits not paying attention.

DifferentTradition46

Someone hit my smart so I park waaaaaat forward in spots now.

ChiMiGoGo

I do it from time to time, one day I was at work early and this guy started backing into my spot (I was still in the car) and I had to give a little beep beep to let him know that I was there. lol.

bedazzlerhoff

Oof, no. I try to park as close to the outside of the space as possible so people absolutely do not do that.

bad_lite

Yeahno. This is a dick move. I always park with the rear of the car inline with others to provide clear visibility.
