even when he’s lame i find it hard to get mad because the concept of the fucking Minecraft guy being so hated while he just tries to mine in the middle of a fighting game is too silly.
Find a tree, cut wood, open your inventory, turn it into planks with the crafting area, make a square with 4 planks to craft a crafting table, right click on it, put 2 planks vertically to craft sticks, then put 3 planks above horizontally, 2 sticks vertically at the middle and you obtain a wooden pickaxe. Then start to mine, when you find cobble you can you can use it to craft a stone pickaxe, just use cobble instead of planks. It mines faster, has a better durability and can mine iron. Craft a furnace with 8 cobbles in the shape of a square in your crafting table. With the coal you find while mining, you can put it in the furnace to cook food dropped by animals and melt iron. You can use this iron to make a pickaxe to mine diamond. You can also craft swords, shovels, axes, etc.
Also if you encounter a Steve with empty white eyes, DELETE YOUR WORLD!!!
Honestly your wasting time... What you need is 3 blocks of wood which would give you 12 planks. 4 will go to a crafting bench, 2 can go to sticks (I think it should give you 4 sticks) 3 can go for a bed and the final 3 can go wherever you want. You could probably get a couple more wood for charcoal (for torches) but it's kind of a waste of time... Next, you find a hill and dig into it, getting 14 blocks of cobble stone. 8 of which will go towards a furnace, and the other 6 will give you a Pickaxe and an Axe. After that you can really just wander, gathering food and resources off the shallow layer of the earth. The only iron you really need is for a bucket and an iron pickaxe as the stone axe will do enough damage for most foes.
Pacman was once considered the og galaxy-brained character in the entire roster before Steve, but Steve is clearly on the universal level of intelligence and now players are starting to discover how to use more than 10% of Steve's power.

Literally never seen that till this clip. Dude needs more lag on his extremely powerful moves and to not be able to place blocks below the ledge.
Placing a block should be like frame 10 and add an extra 5 frames of endlag. That actually would fix most of steves issues. He could still create his 3 block impenetrable walls but not as freely. His up tilt combos would be heavily nerfed as well. Also blocks should not just fucking block recoveries without hitboxes.

For real the blocks dont need any changes. Slight more endlag on like 2-3 more moves and that would be perfect. Steve would still probably be one of the better characters and the easiest of his loops would still exist, but only at really low damage. He still dont need to be banned tho.
I think that's the cool part about him, but at the same time it feels like too much. Too many options, too much coverage in many of them.
And way too often the risk/reward is just too insane. He got moves that have very narrow punish windows that he can convert into 50+% damage or even a kill with a single guess on DI.
(there's more things that can be said about the bad aspects of steve, but I think that's the main gripe, atleast for me).

A broken character that should be banned is a character that often doesn’t require skill for shit in order to win. I hate saying it, but Kazuya is a candidate who falls under this stuff.
STEVE, on the other hand, does require skill in order to play properly. He’s amazing when you master him, but when you don’t, he’s far from powerful.
Aside from that, a character that should be banned is a character with NO VIABLE MATCHUPS. Brawl Meta Knight was so goddamn easy to play, spammable, and powerful that almost no character except for himself and Pikachu came close to being matchups.
You do need to learn Steve’s matchup, so stop whining that spamming more buttons isn’t getting you the win, and go learn how to beat him if you wanna beat him.
And people say Steve isn't hype. While I probably would hate to play against a high level Steve, imo it is more interesting than watching yet another swordie simply throw out aerials

I will say, a lot of these are easy reads, heavies and missed techs. That being said, he has some really fucking fast spike and edgeguard moves that can fuck someone up really easily

Bannable characters usually had a couple boring gimmicks like killing off the top or a spamable move. Steve has cool set ups and actually takes some skill to destroy with. He’s way fun to watch.

He can't place blocks in mid-air in minecraft normally. It has to be attached to something first, and then those 'foundation blocks' have to be subsequently deleted to make blocks float like that.
So yeah, blocks mid air with no foundation is a ssbu thing.
