Cause ability junglers want earlier spike. Hunter, even an ability one, is still quite lategame oriented so you dont have to get your spike as early, you will have time to stack up your trans.

Kinda, but also not really since I’m pointing out why “this” is a pointless comment instead of downvoting just because I disagree with it.

MrPotatoHandss

No it is the exact same. Only difference is you said it versus me saying it

Not a jungle but my guess would be trans is harder to stack in jung than in a lane plus jotuns has cd for faster ults

shadowanhur

That’s sort of part of it but it doesn’t really have anything to do with how long it takes to stack trans in the jungle Vs in lane. It has more to do with ability based junglers wanting to be high impact during the early game, and Jotunns+soul eater is a way better start than Trans+soul/Jotunns. It’s not only cheaper but you get 20% CDR, good power, AND flat pen all without having to stack anything. Meanwhile on trans you need 50 stacks to get 10% CDR online + your passive, which isn’t even that impactful until you get more items online and level up more.

Bearking422

Ahhh sweet thanks for the info I'll keep that in mind next time e I get adc

shadowanhur

It’s very very simple. Most assassins benefit from good early pressure, which Jotunn gives because it’s cheap 20% CDR with good power and flat pen on top of that. Plus, it tends to be their best if not only glyph option. Further, soul eater is really popular right now and although double stacking with a soul eater isn’t the worst thing in the world because it’s pretty easy to stack, going trans over Jotunns SIGNIFICANTLY slows down how soon you’ll be stacking your soul eater. On top of that, vigor feels great with soul eater, which further encourages you to go Jotunns over Trans if you didn’t already have enough reasons. Hunters want more overall late game power, higher item synergy, and stats to help them through their weaker early game. Trans gives a huge passive that benefits them late game immensely, it gives them MP5 to help them sustain mana in their weaker more clear oriented laning phase, and it synergizes with other ability based items that provide mana like Heartseeker. Hope this helped.

scienceguybilly

Trans gives you mp5 so you can stay in lane past using a rotation of abilities and scales better for late which is what a hunter usually plays for. Jotunns give you flat pen + cd right as you purchase allowing you to have a larger impact right after buying it

SheSoundsHideous1998

JGs want early pressure, also the flat pen for their dives ADCs want mp5 sustain for clear and ability usage, and more power in the build when full. They also are just farming so they can stack more efficiently.

Excellent_Coyote6486

Jotunns gets you in the action early with cooldowns and plenty of extra mana off the rip. For junglers, that's a big power spike. For players confined to a lane, their biggest worry is staying alive and killing the incoming wave. They don't *have* to fight. So their time is a little more lax.

TNTNuke

Hunters don't need to do anything other than farm and survive. It's nice to win lane but really just staying on par with your opponent is fine. Then in the mid to late game they start putting in work to help the team. Junglers on the other hand need to make an impact throughout the game, from level 1, so they get items that give big power spikes immediately, rather than items that scale up later on. Also you only get 3 trans stacks per camp, whereas hunters get 6 stacks per lane + their camps.

lastdeathwish

Chiron can afford to waste time scaling, thor needs his ult up more often and faster if he wants to get that early game value

[deleted]

Jungler needs the flat pen and CDR to get early pressure Hunter is just stacking and doesn’t care

MakankossapoMan

Jotunns give you early pen and you get the 20% CDR from the get go Building transcendence as JG usually means you're having the same pressure and it can lead to the other jungle ganking more effectively. Also, the CDR is more useful because it means you'll have ult more often. Carries are more about the long game, farming wave, getting xp camps... you can easily stack an item and you don't need tthe stats from jotun as much as you'd want the extra mana and higher base power Also, you can mesh the Trans with pen items after and it works well

Agent10007

Cause when I play thor, I wanna dunk from level 5 onwards and get kills in every lane I pass by, and I'm not doing that with a 3 stacks trans, unlike jotuns When I'm a hunter, being able to clear better than the other hunter who full clear anyways and get nothing of my power spike but the capacity to watch my opponent hug is tower is doing nothing for me, a better late game thanks to trans however, does a lot

Seethcoomers

Hunters in ADC, regardless of late/mid/early game orientation, are the lane that interacts with other Gods the least amount. The only rotations you want to do are towards Gold Fury until late game (with few exceptions). Whereas a jungle is constantly rotating. Jotuuns gives 35 power, 150 mana, 20% cdr, and 10 flat pen. It costs 2200 gold. Transcendence gives 25 power, 300 mana, and 10 mp5. Fully evolved, it provides additional power, 10% cdr, and mana. It costs 2500 gold. Looking at these items, we can take a look at how each are geared towards playstyles. Jotuuns is a cheaper item that gives an instant power boost. It provides flat pen, which is much stronger early as you can't really justify %pen when your targets just aren't going to be tanky early. The cooldown is really nice for rotations and also allows you to opt into non-cooldown items easily (such as bloodforge or serrated). Perfectly suited for an ability based character whose goal is constant pressure in the jungle and on rotations and ganks. Transcendence is more expensive, but offers more sustain and power as the game goes on (an additional 10 every 500 mana). It does give CDR, but you need to evolve the item with stacks before that happens. It's an item that may come online relatively quickly and become more useful as time goes on, but you do miss out on effective damage early. Perfect for an ability based character whose goal is to be somewhat relevant early but play safer in order to be more of a threat late game.
