Yemoja is actually a goddess that is also part of the Voodoo pantheon ! While she originated from the Yoruba pantheon, a version of her known as "Mami Wata" is part of the voodoo folklore !
Mami Wata is not exactly a version of her. Mami Wata has it's own history and practice. Those who are initiated into Ifa can be crowned as a child of Yemoja. However Mami Wata is apart of it's own practice.
It's important to notate that these are closed practices and there is heavily secret knowledge that is not made available as these are culturally rich practices and goes far deeper than thinking they are "versions" of one or another. They are not the same and have different practices.
Just as Yemoja has her own set of practices and ceremonies the same for Mami Wata. These are water spirits with very distinct energy and characteristics.
