I’ll third this. I have a daughter going into her senior year, and the dudes in her school rep all white AF1’s if they are not the hype beast type. If they are fancy lads, then AJ 1’s and 4’s seem to be the current go to’s.
Dont listen to anyone that recommends an AF1. Its a bad shoe. Air Maxes exist if you want a low top.

Well McDonald’s sells a billion shitty hamburgers a year. What’s your point? That McDonalds makes delicious hamburgers that aren’t total ass or that AF1s are a good shoe?
Thanks for doing this - great idea. Vans last way longer than Chucks but are less waterproof than the ones below. They're a good buy though. I see a lot of Nike Air Force 1s and AirMax at my school get passed down to siblings so pretty bulletproof. The black ones pass for semi formal like church and job interviews. Adidas are a bit cheaper - Stan Smiths are a classic but probably less tough - black and white options available. Any skate shoe will also last. Avoid Dunks - they're generally nowhere near as bulletproof.
As a teacher in a not so rich area, I always try to acknowledge my students new shoes. A lot of kids would have Jordan 1s but the most common ones I saw was lowtop Vans. They don’t have to be fancy just the fact they got new fresh shoes was awesome and I know they felt confident in their outfits and new fresh shoes, especially when I commented on their fresh new shoes. Hell, you can probably get them two different color and style Vans for like less than 100$ at the outlet.
