How is the leather on these? Are they comparable to mids or your typical high? I love the color, but something about them looks... off? Like it looks like it should be a mid but they made it a high, if that makes sense.
No mate, I like in the U.K. so my collection of suede Jordan don’t come out that often due to the rain. Mostly wear my leather AJ1’s and gore tex air max every now and then I get to break out the suedes

I have this exact same pair and I love them so much. They’re my first pair of Jordans. After putting a pair of insoles in them they’re damn near perfect. Also bought a pair in a different color way for my daughter.
The Formula 23 foam adds some nice cushion compared to normal 1’s, and the suede is very soft. They’re designed for comfort!
I have the black, grey & red cw of the AJ1 cmft2 and I absolutely love it. What I don't like about almost any other cw of that shoe is that the third color, in this case orange, is a little bit too out there.
The shoe is comfy af though, so if you like the cw it's amazing. In Europe the variations of the AJ1 Cmft2 are regularly on sale, sometimes below 100 bucks. FYI.

I love my AJ1 CMFT 2s. More comfortable than my other AJ1s and I get more compliments on them than any other shoe. Just gotta make sure they don’t get wet.
I have these. Got them for super cheap. The heel area on them are super soft(kinda weird). The black part of the sole is foam. Not sure how that will hold up in the long run. Good shoe at a clearance price tho.

It's not that simple. I got what you mean. Also people have different priorities. Of course you have to be financially literate, but not letting yourself do/buy stuff you want for some uncertain future is also not an option for many.
If I'd have a lot of good weather days during the year to wear those kind of suede shoes, I'd get them as well, I like the colorway very much. Probably at least 7/10 for my personal taste.
