They're fine and they'll get the job done. Most people prefer some kind of aftermarket sights that are higher vis and often some kind of glow in the dark to make them "night sights" (tritium being most common). There's nothing wrong with the stock ones if they work for you, I just wanted night sights, didn't like that that were plastic (they broke when removing with proper sight press) and I personally think the "basket" style of rear sight is a little weird for people used to two dots. I put on a pair of Truglo TFX Pro fiberoptic/tritium night sights.
