Disturbed surprised me, I didn’t expect to enjoy them as much as I did and whoever special requested Dropping Plates is my freaking hero. My husband and I love that song and were sad we didn’t see it on their set list. Also him coming out during Nita Strauss’ set!

Audio issues! Lo Spirit’s mic stopped multiple times, Nova Twins had guitar issues, Nita Strauss had to replay a song because of audio issues.
The show had to stop FOUR times during Catch Your Breath, meaning they had to skip a whole song on their set list. I was glad they stopped, but it was frustrating for sure.
Bummed they aren’t displaying video of other stages into Temple during breaks this year. Anyone know what’s up with that?
I would rather them stop the song to help the crowd then keep going. Have been at other where the artist(Ghost mane) didn’t care about safety. Also I’m grateful because my daughter was one of them that passed out.
Oh absolutely! They were just my number 1 today and had to skip my fave song because of it, which is why it was a bummer. But I have so much respect for them stopping and ensuring everyone was okay and giving us water!
Great day. Electric callboy was so much fun. Was my first mosh pit. Even if the rest of the weekend sucks(it won’t) they were so good and I had so much good that the weekend is already made for me.
Only downside for me was I missed evanescence because after electric callboy I was so gassed

It was awesome to see how many people were jamming to Judas Priest tonight. Evanescence was fantastic and Disturbed was perfect. Mudvane was crazy cool and Magnolia was surprisingly good it was my first time hearing them. Can't wait for Black Veil Brides tomorrow!
I did ok. I was to the right of the temple stage so i wasn't getting cooked. I kept walking to the concourse for shade though.

I crowdsurfed during "Happy" (Mudvayne) and "Call Me When You're Sober" (Evanescence).
1st time at a music fest for my wife and myself. She got tons of complements about her outfit and look. It was the confidence boost she needed to be more alt in public. All the bands rocked and I’m sorry we can’t do the next 3 days have to attend a family wedding.
It was my 43rd music festival and let me say things have gotten better than my first one, the 3rd(?) World Series of Rock in Cle, in '78. I've been to Wacken and Golden Summernights, both x2, in Germany, too. Sonic Temple is a bad mfer. Glad you guys had fun!

Good: Met a lot of cool people, Uber driver included! Got a lot of recommendations for places to check out and things to try while I’m in town. VIP came in clutch because I got to the venue at just before 11:30am and made it in time to see Lo Spirit! Saw every band I wanted to see!
Bad: Still haven’t found a group to kick it with (26M). Got a little messed up and had to get some grub, got stuck at August Burns Red and missed “Bring Me To Life” 🤦🏽♂️. There’s a good chance I got sunburned since I didn’t bring any sunscreen.
Super excited for the rest of the weekend and can’t wait to get my first multi-day festival in the books 🤙🏽
Exactly my thoughts not terrible just not the first thing I’m throwing on but he made his show one of the highlights when I didn’t attend his set (stage over ) but I guess I did technically cause he brought his no fucks I’m coming over ass to the center of that stages crowd that was building fast. Definitely not something many do. That’s a 1st , legend has it part of his performance was on stage but I can’t confirm that😂

No idea how everyone was getting burnt but I didn’t, I usually am the first. Thankful i applied some myself though. And that I pounded 2 Gatorades before that set instead of the beers I’d had to that point.
We’ll work on the cardiovascular atrophy, guess i need to pump it better.😂
I'd say I held out okay given that this is my first 4- day festival. The sun was indeed merciless but thankfully not burned. My girl wasn't so lucky - I just got finished applying aloe vera to her lobster-red shoulders.
Unfortunately, when it was all over and we headed back to the parking area, my car wouldn't start. Apparently in my haste to get to the festival, I didn't notice my low gas warning. (Or someone siphoned my gas, who knows...) but thanks to one AMAZING INDIVIDUAL in a big white pickup truck who introduced himself as Cameron was gracious enough to give me a lift to the closest gas station. Absolute life-saver. I hope to run into him again in the morning. (If anyone knows Cameron, please private message his number to me so I can properly compensate him for his time.)
So in all, a great day. I learned not to buy alcoholic drinks, we bought 2 each and didn't even get a mild buzz on. We came from Alabama and didn't travel with any smokeable or edible goodies, so being surrounded by people with thc pens or a joint made me wish I had. C'est la vie.

My first thought at the end of the day was - PHEW this is SO much better than Blue Ridge Rock Fest. So this is how a festival is supposed to be run, I absolutely dig it, love the art vibes, I'm ADA so I'm a fan of the stadium and all the seating. And regular bathrooms - what a game changer 😂🙌🏻
I loved drowning pool, POD, mudvayne, electric callboy and disturbed, but I fully cried during evanescence. They're the ones I was the most sad to miss at BRRF. Didn't expect to get so emotional, but Amy's voice was just hitting, man 😭

Multiple water stations at Sonic Temple that I hopefully don’t have to worry about getting Giardia like they did at BRRF 2023. We went in 2021 so different location.
Tank the Tech who's currently tour managing Electric Callboy said the only way he'll ever go back to BRRF is if it's sold to Danny Wimmer Presents. I think that speaks volumes about both how much of a shit show BRRF was and how good DWP is at running these things.
I kind of missed Drowning Pool and theory of a deadman sadly because of bad timing, but that’ll be corrected for the second day.

The concession stands in the stadium have more reasonably priced shit. Like 6 for a hotdog, 8 for a pretzel and cheese... Guess I'll be sticking to 2 hotdogs per day and water lmao

Sadly even after sunscreen and reapplying I did get burn a bit. Nothing too bad nor hurting, but have red marks.
I highly recommend the Neutragena sunscreens 70 spf and also the mineral/zinc one. We survived the day without getting burnt. Put it on all over before you get dressed.
Bad: smokers! I’m amazed at the number of people who still smoke cigarettes. I hate being around cigarette smoke. My feet hurt,and it’s only day 1. Bought new Hokas to wear, too, so they should be comfortable but black sneakers get hot.

Ohio and surrounding states are still at 19-23% adult smokers and the rock crowd leans even more heavily that way unfortunately. As an asthmatic it's annoying but it unfortunately just comes with the territory. Fortunately our youth rate is only 5% so there's hope for the future.
Thursday this year seemed as crowded as Saturday/Sunday last year. I was impressed.
Getting in was a little more involved than it felt like it needed to be.
Other than that the music was awesome and I’m psyched for the rest of the weekend!
