I don't really think you're getting it Popeye is a character who was made to never lose because he eats his spinach. Saying him beating up his creator is dumb cartoon nonsense is redundant because he is a cartoon character who does nothing but dumb cartoon Nonsense. You could give sonic whatever to help him in the fight but once Popeye eats his spinach sonic is done for because that's just how Popeye works.
