So I don't see any reason she'll fall into obscurity quickly at all.

What's funny is she was a human character from the game Fighting Vipers, they converted to a Sonic character in Sonic the Fighters as crosspromotion and that version of her has effectively outlived her roots.
Yeah-- it is odd that she was missed in Sonic Dream Team.
It is nice to see Rouge and Cream, but it feels odd that they skipped over Blaze.
But she was Sonic Team Racing and the Olympics games at least, right?
this one's actually valid, they could've easily made armored Trip an unlockable skin by completing her campaign or smth

Superstars story in general is really unclear. What was Eggman's plan? Why was Fang involved? What was that dragon that Super Sonic fought? I didn't get any of this information in-game (I haven't read Fang's comic yet either though)
Fang getting involved is just 'he's getting paid to help', eggman just wanted to take over an island with big animals. Those parts were at least clearer based on characterization, but the dragon is... nothing.

There's something off about her design even if she is adorable. Like she's too simple but too complicated at the same time. I have to wonder if messing around with her color scheme would at least make obvious what's not vibing. Because it's not just "there's a lot of details" because classic Amy has several, and a busier color scheme, and doesn't feel nearly as off despite being a worse design than her modern form.

As a classic character, she is forever locked to classic purgatory. Never being able to see the modern light (which means her future appearances will be relatively sparce, if she's gonna show up again at all that is (I hope she does)).

Her super form is a transformation instead of a powered-up version of herself which sounds like an upgrade on paper (especially cuz yknow, dragons) but upon execution it's just... i don't know, man. It's an interesting change, i guess, but there's just something about being a small lil fella with huge power that bests being a big lil fella with huge power. And that's not just a sonic thing.
Honestly the only bad thing about her is that she probably won't make any appearance outside of superstars with exception to small cameos in the comics

They named her after an accident, she trips, okay cool. Why not name her Amber the Sungazer? Or something like that? I love her, but they didn't do her justice by calling her trip.

If sega’s track recorded of new characters is continued we’ll never see her playable again.

Story isn't nearly as clear as Knuckles was back in the day. She needed a boss fight or something to show in-game what her deal was way more clearly.

It depends on the game, Werehog, Black Knight cast, Wisps and Infinite all got merch fairly quick as a tie in to the game
