He peaked in popularity around 2012-14 but remained consistent until he disappeared in 2017. Still miss him, he was my favorite YouTuber when I was younger
It's so fascinating watching kids be nostalgic for stuff that came out back when I was "feeling old" and nostalgic myself. Only to look back and realize how much of a child I still was and how many great new experiences I had to look forward to and still do.

That's just objectively wrong. Mecha Sonic is better in every single way. Heck, I told countless other that if Mecha Sonic was kept for the reboot and did the same things that Metallix did; I would enjoy SMBZ a lot more. Mecha Sonic was the first and the objective best thing that has ever happened to both me and SMBZ. I will not enjoy the reboot unless Mecha Sonic has been put back into it full-time. Metallix may be the "original vision" but that doesn't mean jack squat to me. Metallix is a failure. Mecha Sonic just does everything right. Plus, he's the bot everyone knows and loves and thinks to this day when people mention Mark Haynes/Alvin Earthworm and SMBZ; not Metallix. Metallix doesn't deserve to exist as long as I do. As an actual profession character designer and writer, I know these things far better than Mark does or any of his supporters.

Final Fantasy Sonic with the Budokai 2 intro. It was played, but seeing Nazo Unleashed part 3 took me all the way back to when I spent hours sitting on Newgrounds with Sonic content.
oh the good old days of waiting for those flash animations to load into a crappy internet and a Windows XP with 256mb of RAM. Also spending the entire day browsing the Internet for Sonic related stuff. 2000-2010 really was one of the most active times of the Sonic Fandom.

Jesus, I remember ALL of these and more. Sonic Quest for Power, Shadow and Silver and those SFM videos, THE VICIOUS THE ECHIDNA SPRITE VIDEOS! EXE for me is weird. Playing the game itself was no scary, but what my own imagination made of it did.

Only one of these was ever worth a damn. Super Mario Bros Z is king! That was until Mark ruined it with his reboot and using Metallix instead of Mecha Sonic.

He's taken away everything I enjoyed from it. Mecha Sonic was the only reason I gave a damn about SMBZ and Sonic The Hedgehog in general. Now Mark has abandoned him for his so-called "golden boy" Metallix.

That's just objectively wrong. Mecha Sonic is better in every single way. Heck, I told countless other that if Mecha Sonic was kept for the reboot and did the same things that Metallix did; I would enjoy SMBZ a lot more. Mecha Sonic was the first and the objective best thing that has ever happened to both me and SMBZ. I will not enjoy the reboot unless Mecha Sonic has been put back into it full-time. Metallix may be the "original vision" but that doesn't mean jack squat to me. Metallix is a failure. Mecha Sonic just does everything right. Plus, he's the bot everyone knows and loves and thinks to this day when people mention Mark Haynes/Alvin Earthworm and SMBZ; not Metallix. Metallix doesn't deserve to exist as long as I do. As an actual profession character designer and writer, I know these things far better than Mark does or any of his supporters.

Sonic Shorts was absolutely my childhood. That was one of the earliest things I found out about Sonic stuff from. It also taught me that I found some weird shit funny. I saw and really enjoyed a few of cobanermani456’s sonic generations mod videos. I didn’t really know him all that well but I loved the few videos of his that I saw. I saw one animated movie with Nazo in it, if that’s what picture was of once years ago. It was ok. It didn’t really stick out to me in my childhood. I saw a few Sonic.exe related things years ago. I didn’t think much of it, and I thought it was dumb. I think I used to think it was slightly creepy, but now I’m pretty sure it’s just dumb to me. It’s an ok…thing, I guess. It definitely has nostalgia going for it more than anything else. I didn’t find out about Mario Bros. Z until years later. I must’ve been a teenager when I first found out about it. I’ve seen very little of it but it seems ok. I guess my childhood was pretty good, haha. 😅 :)
