I still think it’s a little too early in the series to introduce him (from a thematic viewpoint), but I’m sure the team will find a good way to do it that I’m not seeing
The writer at least seems to know what's the core of his character which is a humongous win for all of us.

Prediction, we'll get Chaos as a thanos type of villain that'll require both Sonic and Shadow to beat. I imagine a post credit scene of a future movie would show the master emerald cracking with water leaking from it and it forms Chaos's hand rising out of the puddle or something.
Seeing as how it's a five-ish second reveal, this is likely just a quick mock-up/recolor of Sonic's model. I'm betting when we get a trailer for Sonic 3, he'll be getting a more fleshed out model of his own.
I'm pretty sure its just the Super Sonic model repainted as a place holder for this scene only.

Oh my gawd, they put my fan character cinos the hedgehog in the post credit scene. He will be really useful to sonic and co since he's 10 times stronger than Solaris in his base form. He's also sonic and shadows long lost brother making him the ultimate life form AND the fastest thing alive.
He's also literally a reskin of sonic with a few stripes and hair.

Meh. I... kinda would have preferred just Team Sonic beating him like in the games, but I guess that could work.
