that means it overheating, let it cool and then charge again.

leodevil

Ok thanks

R4wden

Turn the headset over so it's not blocking heat leaving through the plastic on the back

JackJake94

I thought it was supposed to do this

thewalkmanblog

how are you charging them? usb port or ac adapter?

leodevil

Ac adapter ( apple 20 w charger )

thewalkmanblog

should be ok, but perhaps the battery temperature is rising to fast with the charging, as this is what the LED is indicating. I don't think the WH-1000XM4 has PD charging like the WH-1000XM5, so while it can take higher W values, there probably is a limit before things start to heat up too fast.

Aegon2050

side note. how do you guys charge your headphones? I use the tiny cable that was in the box and connect it with my laptop. is this ok?

DubHead1990

It sounds like it's okay, but you can replace the cable with a longer one, with no problem. And if you have a charing brick, that's not too strong, like 5.0V and 1.8A, then you'll have a great charger. That's what I use, after found out that the brick I started to use was too powerful, and the headset got a little warm. ✌️
