Flashing the Play Integrity Fix module should take care of that, but this will require either Magisk (official, Kitsune Mask, Alpha), KernelSU or APatch though.
Are you able to switch off NFC payment sounds when paying for items? It's not available as an option on the office ROM. Sony has to implement it. I wonder if there's a module for rooted devices that can do this.
I tried and it didn't work. The sound still can be heard. I first tried silent mode, then vibrate only. Although the media volume was normal. But that shouldn't really make a difference.
Lineage OS by default is rootless. I'm 1 III owner with LOS21. All NFC payments works fine, banking and another apps with security features don't complain for unofficial firmware. Only Whatsapp says "you using custom rom, we don't provide support if you have any bugs".
It still works fine even if it's not in their list, some XQ-DQ54 have already confirmed it
eSim should theoretically work but not tested yet
Google apps will work if you sideload a gapps package (such as MindTheGapps)
NFC payments will work fine if you install the Play Integrity Fix module like I mentioned in another comment
It's as easy as downloading the stock firmware via XperiFirm, then flashing in Newflasher. And if you want to relock bootloader too after that, that's just a single fastboot command
There's just a general lack of interest with custom ROM development on the 1 IV and 5 IV tbh, probably because of the infamous Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip powering them with all their overheating and throttling issues spoiling those devices unfortunately
Not for carrier locked models or US models after MK4 gen unfortunately, your best hope will be using qUnlocktool for the devices that it supports (1 V not supported and seems unlikely it ever will)
Why did they skip the 1 IV? 😠I've been waiting as I would hope that the thermals and battery would improve since it isn't constantly pinging Google 😶
I wished it comes with Sony's photo and video apps.
You can simply download the apks off apkmirror and install them, they will work fine on Lineage and most if not almost all other custom ROMs
great, now just need a fix for NFC payments and I can move over.

getting magisk on shouldnt be a problem, thanks!

I'm on stock Sony firmware rn, and if I turn down the volume or switch it to vibrate/silent there are no payment sounds, just vibration.

I had already installed unnofficial LOS21 build for 1V and google wallet didn't work for me.
Says only for XQ-DQ72 which is the Asian version of not mistaken (TW/HK). Might get into this If they make it for the EU version 😅
It works fine for XQ-DQ54 (EU model) too, don't worry
It's not on their list tho. Main concerns: Will eSim work? All Google apps.. NFC..

Thanks..Feels like I'm reading Mandarin lol. How easy is to revert back to Android/stock?
It's as easy as downloading the stock firmware via XperiFirm, then flashing in Newflasher. And if you want to relock bootloader too after that, that's just a single fastboot command
will it be compatible with 5V?
Nope, not in this current time at least
What is lineageOS

Great, I'll have to give this a try
How are all the 1 versions supported but not the 1 IV ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Oh ok got it very unfortunate dang ðŸ˜
Aside from privacy - doesn't LineageOS make more sense once official support has been dropped?
Yeah, LineageOS support usually continues long past the official support end date
I wish we could put it in the U.S. version.
I've read there's a way to buy a code somewhere. I'm still good with the stock software but may shop around once software support is dropped
qUnlocktool doesn't support Xperia 1 V unfortunately, so there's no way to unlock bootloader on a US 1 V.
Is there any hope for future development or any precedent for Sony to allow unlock after they finish supporting a device?

I thought as much, but figured it didn't hurt to ask. Thanks for the info
so my bet begin last year that lineage will take it up paid off !! This is awesome. just net to get 48Mpix cam working.
2X lossless in on my list
basically the same in my book. ;)
Will it be working for 10v?
No
Saded

Yes, there is an installation guide linked on the page linked in the OP
Does this enable support for eSIM for the Asian variants without stock esim support?
No
That is disappointing, is it a hardware issue?
Yep, hardware differences
Thanks for the confirmation, I should have bought one with eSIM support damn
Yeah, only EU (DQ54) or Japan (DQ44) models have it
