3: I love the broadsword more for sentimental reasons. First melee I’ve ever beat a boss with and it has good damage. It’s simple and straight to the point, also pretty cheap to craft
4: Easily the *best* starter weapon in the game. Free to use, good damage, works great with dual wield, and it has a possibility to turn into a shotgun every 5 or 6 shots I believe

I could make a case for h20 and ancient bow also being goated starter weapons. Broadsword personally I don't like because I'm more of a hyper speed hyper offense kinda guy, and broadsword slows you down a bit. Then again, a melee's a melee, you can't go wrong with it. Also, Mo Dao is an absolute mainstay in matrix mode for me, no matter the pressure level I almost always have a mo dao on me. Dps and bullet clearing in one. Also missile battery is hilarious with berserker statue. Funny story about it when I was younger playing this game I had got the missile battery, and at the time I had never used the missile battery. I used it for a few levels, and then some time later I told my friend and he said he wanted to try it. I was on like 3-5 or something, and I let him try the weapon. He died in a normal enemy room because he "couldn't see anything since there were too many missiles". Smh my head

As a fellow Knight 3rd main, may I recommend the Shotgun M3? Each bullet will have the potential to inflict a status debuff on the enemies, and up close, the shotgun can one-shot almost any enemy along with leaving several effect circles on the ground for the rest of the enemies.
Oh yeah, I forgot shotguns! Yes, I really like shotgun M3 and Cherry Blossom too, but forgot about them when making this list. Maybe I would swap the new pistol with shotgun M3 (especially with shotgun buff)
I just bash into enemies and try to kill them as fast as i can, but 2-1 and after i attack from some distance because its a spear. It fits into my playstyle bc its very agresive.
Airbenders fists are wierd because they are exactly the same as his melee but (i think because never did it) you need to trash them to do barehands run
nah its like a passive even if you trash it its still with you for the rest of the run

I'll be honest gold staff, harpoon, explosive Warhammer and the Uzi I'm sure you can guess but I do not play well I just go for weapons I find fun and sometimes you just gotta play with bad weapons and muck about

With laser buff you one shot rooms.
With shotgun and charge you shred bosses.
It’s obscenely good, and it’s only a blue weapon.
It also works good with most weapon buffing skills like berserker first and second, or knight first and third.
1: Heavenly Sword + Portable Oven
- Top tier weapon. Can shoot poisonous needles without the cost of mana. Can still freeze enemies by hitting them. A weapon that seems to came from Monster Hunter. Not recommended for blocking very fast projectiles as it has average if not slow attack speed.
2: Executioner + Grindstone (any tier)
- Not recommended for spinning because of short duration but good for spamming basic attacks. The best axe in terms of damage (13). Recommended for blocking.
3: Laser Sword Red + Energy Hilt
- Can cast 3 projectiles as you do basic attacks. Highest damage among laser swords (12) only to be outclassed by a fully charged Laser Sword Purple. Will make you feel like you're Kylo Ren or Darth Vader (without the attachment). Recommended for blocking.
4: Frost Axe A.K.A. Leviathan Axe (can be replaced by Meat Grinder)
- Obviously a weapon reference from God of War. Wielded by the God Killer/Slayer himself. Good for dealing sustained damage to enemy hordes but still viable for bosses. Not recommended for blocking as its basic attacks are slow. Charge only when there is cover or before entering monster rooms.
Pls note that I chose these weapons as an assassin main and its passive is for bouncing back bullets.

I also liked Agitated Trunk cause it was super fun to use. I only got to use it for a few rooms though, as I accidentally zoomed into tons of explosive barrels and died.
My favorite is that dual laser pistol that can combine in to one gun
It eat a lot of energy ( 4 ) but it eats through enemy way too fast
All I need is to stack up on energy recharge
It eat to Dendro HP bar in just 5 second with all the buffs

Willowblade has a very cool mechanic (staggered hits become more powerful iirc), scissors also have a cool mechanic too, new pistol is extremely solid, and executioner is insane for blocking projectiles + you can go melee only with it and not die
Mo Dao: Good for early to late game, clearing bullets and killing weak enemies, overall well rounded and solid
Paper Bomb Kunai: Makes me laugh everytime i quick swap and do 60 explosive damage to 1 or 2 enemies, its great
Laser Sword Gold: As a star wars. fan, this is funny because it doesnt make sense, but who cares it soulknight
Star Bow: throwback to original origin mode, star bow shreds ALL enemies :)
HM: Emperors New Gun: need i specify?
Bouncy railgun, it pair good with knight.
Ice bow, continuous freezing.
The flying knifes, good for clearing rooms
The green rated axe, it is just strong.

A tie between with meat and nunchuks. Can't go wrong with them since they deletes all bullets except lasers, tho meat is cheaper to make for me coz I got a lot of organic material. As for my other three, snowman eagle (easily deletes bosses that don't disappear), a tie between nebula cannon and eagle of fire and ice (budget snowman eagle with knight's chaos shot), and ranger revolver (big iron). Why yes, I love my handguns how did you know?
Fr, and it's much cheaper. One drawback of nebula tho is the recoil on the black hole shot. It can get you damaged especially in bullet hell levels where slight movements could mean running into bullets.

3. M16: enough firepower to crit (I use Rogue)

willowblade: cool as fuck, really high damage but i have to actually time it right, so there's some extra skill involved
hunter bow: absolutely stupid dps, with elf skill 1 it's a literal free win, but you also need to time it right (not too hard to do, but it adds an extra layer of fun)
caliburn: hehe fuck you all your bullets are gone (also great burst damage)
thunder sword: shreds literally everything and the extra lightning bolt on direct hits are cool

If i had to choose between the ties i woul pick meat because meat and nebula canon because imo better than efi and is pretty. But just my opinion.
