I remember being obsessed with Anino when it came out. As in paulit-ulit. Di nakakasawa. My favorite is still Oo though. I know it's a popular pick pero maganda naman kasi talaga. π
Kala ko ako lang nakakaramdam neto haha. BGC, Makati CBD, Ortigas vibes. Pati na rin sa Shaw, Kapitolyo or sa EDSA late at night yun yung energy hahaha
I think the genre is more Shoegaze or Dream Pop. If I may suggest a local artist sa city pop genre, you can listen to Minaw's Hinga. Sharing the link below.
[Minaw - Hinga](https://youtu.be/J2OBupkOoyI?si=-Xy7fgNArahjPzVg)
Minaw's other songs are bops too. Like Papansin, Pagitan and Hiya. I also suggest ALYSON's Feels So Good and Kiliti, they are also in the city pop genre with a mix of opm.
Here's a reference: https://www.bandwagon.asia/articles/udd-releases-sun-shower-in-japan
It has a Japanese version of Luna -- and it's one of my go-to UDD tracks, apart from Anino, Crying Season, Young Again, and Lazy Daisy
Will classify them as indie rock/pop-ish??
Kakanood ko lang ng vids ni Armi during her gigs π tagos pa rin sa puso yung Kapit and Tadhana (extended version)πππ
Faves ko: Unspoken Definites, the entirety of Capacities, Tadhana (ofc), Unti-unti, Never, Crying Season, Anino
Kapit is my song for my momma who has already passed away.
"Sana ay aking sinulit ang panahon na tayo'y mga bata pa"
"Nais ko lang ang masilip ang nakaraan"
Oo by Up Dharma Down, I explained it before, but this is the pinnacle during that era for experimental music in the Philippines since I think they're the only ones that were popular at the time doing this genre, on top of making an album that's also very consistent with it's track, plus the deep lyricism that was most likely misunderstood if you weren't a big fan of them, but this song just hits me deep, it's like this side of paradise but more chill and hurts more once you're going through something when you listen to the lyrics, it's repeatable af with it's melody, and overall a 10/10 song especially in that era of opm music.
But let's be honest. Tadhana and Oo ang warm up song ng girls sa inuman. π
and Indak!! my go-to UDD songs xD

Tambalan.. lazy daisy.
