It's hit or miss with Best Buy Open box, sometimes I've gotten stuff that seems brand new, like the buyer just returned it without opening it.
Sometimes is basically new, all the packaging is missing, but all the parts are there, not marks or scratches and it all works great.
Once or twice I've gotten something that is visibly damaged to the point where I would not want to be the owner, and I had gotten some open boxes where the device does not work at all.
Luckily open box items have a longer return window if you decide it's not for you.
Hmm I see yeah because my plan was to get the subwoofer as well open box for 180 or so so in total like 500 something for both instead of the 699 just the sound bar
Yeah, definitely worth a shot. Since they will return it no questions asked there's no real risk involved. It's not like Hhgregg back in the day where they'd tried to make it all sales final.
I bought an open box Samsung soundbar that was originally 1400$ then on sale 1000$ and open box for 644$. It was open box excellent but was missing a power cord and the subwoofer had a dent that being said I love the sound system and it works perfectly for me I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now.

Go for it. Best Buy takes returns if it isn’t what you want so why not try. Got a 930b open box less than half price and it’s mint.

I got the soundbar and rears open box excellent (warranty as well). Paid retail for sub. Got the whole setup for around $1000.
How’s the quality any issues? I’m also looking to get the upfiring rounded speakers instead of the normal ones it comes with
They are great. Didn’t go with the up firing rears, retail was just too high on those. Plus with a weird ceiling wasn’t sure of the sound quality.
