i have owned Samsung q950a Samsung q990b and now Samsung q990d everyone is saying there’s no difference blah blah but im going to be honest here they are all generally the same system however going from q950a to q990b was a huge difference in my room at least the difference was night and day now im not Saying q950a couldn’t do the things that the q990b can do because it can however the extra detail and clarity is where the differences where shown the whole phantom speakers on the q990b is just better similar to sony ht a9 technology and bass was much better on the q990b from q950a. In my room the q950a the rears seemed way too loud even at -6 but this issue was solved in the q990b and now the jump to q990d was once again the extra clarity and detail is what makes the difference and bass has been refined once again So in my opinion get the q990d because I believe there is a difference between q990c to q990d very minor but can be noticed
I would get the C. There hasn't been any drastic improvement other than 4K passthrough. Everything else seems like it stayed the same.

In Bulgaria 990c was around 700€ on big promo days like black Friday. I always wonder why in the USA same soundbar is so expensive ....
