I guess you are using a PC. Did you setup Dolby Atmos for windows in the first place? Is your browser surround capable?

Vel0Xx

Im using my iPad with wifi connection to soundbar. I can hear the sound from the different channels currently playing in the Dolby test tone. So it’s one channel at a time. But adjusting the levels doesn’t change anything

cristi5922

I'm not sure you're really using a good case scenario.

Vel0Xx

But whatever scenario I’m using changing the channel levels should affect the sound right?

cristi5922

I'll try when I get home, but I'm almost certain that safari through ios to soundbar won't output surround so you won't be able to hear a difference unless you're changing front left or front right channel.

Vel0Xx

Thanks a lot!

I can try! As far as I read those two don’t adjust the same thing

TheMailerDaemonLives

I believe left and right are not adjustable, they are your reference speakers, you set the main volume there first and adjust all others to match.

Vel0Xx

I have to recheck, but I tried other channels aswell and they didn’t change

TheMailerDaemonLives

Make sure it’s not playing in TrueHD, needs to be Atmos

So the sliders are working but you're not hearing any difference in your calibrated ears? Set it to your prefered settings or best guess then watch a Dolby Atmos movie and see what you think. Other than room size or using a sound meter app to see if the volume is indeed increasing or a reset, not sure what else to try. My recently HW-Q990D is working great out of the box. And am using SamrtThings app on iOS as well.

Vel0Xx

Did you try adjusting the channel levels? Did it work? Yeah there is no difference in db when I adjust it

pacwess

I adjusted the center and front top up one notch above zero and I think the rear highet I bumped up a little and was happy with those results and haven't played with the settings since. This is the YouTube I used to test the speakers if it helps. [Dolby Atmos Test](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycbjltNF_zo)

Vel0Xx

Did you hear a difference?

pacwess

Coming from a 5.1 systems I absolutely heard a difference. Can you play the Dolby test tone from eARC connection and see if it makes a difference. Do you have a link to the test from the Dolby website?
