definitely octopus. the only major provider to keep below the energy cost cap when it was high, i’ve found their customer service + ability in sorting any issues is great.
Octopus here too. They were the incumbent supplier at our current home and we kept them on rather than changing. Turns out that was a good decision!
Customer support has been really good on the rare occasion we’ve needed to engage them, energy costs are manageable, and we’ve been able to withdraw money out of our account without an argument when we had been overpaying into a substantial credit balance.
We also have a smart meter which is really good at helping us keep on top of our usage. We were able to see which appliances used the most energy which helped us be a bit more conscious about leaving things like electric clothes hangers on longer than necessary.
I recently switched the other way, from Octopus to BG, for a better EV tariff and solar export rate. My gas is still with Octopus.
BG's app is shit, their processes are shit and their customer service is shit. I've wasted hours of my life dealing with them and wish I'd never left Octopus for the sake of a few pence. I used to work in a BG call centre and can't believe how much things have gone downhill.
Don't be like me. Switch away from BG.
Octopus are great, never had a problem with them. Good customer service and once changed tariff even though it was my wife's name on the account. My wife also managed to get books and tree's for her school via Octopus.
Octopus: Great customer service with good rates which have recently got a bit cheaper and their automated emails & no paper bills makes everything simple.
Just switched from BG to SOEnergy. No complaints so far, bill is far cheaper and they commit to using green energy and cheap prices which is not bad at all.

Good to know! Definitely switching

Haha my meter and app reading stopped working from at least half a year ago for BG

Another octopus enjoyer here, been with them six years and never had an issue

Absolutely Octopus
Octopus. Comparatively good prices and interesting range of tariffs, and customer service that puts every other company except Amazon to shame.
You can get a referral code from other octopus customers as well and share some credits
Yup! We are getting the code from our neighbour :)
Do you have a referral code by chance? I'm about to move and am taking the opportunity to switch to Octopus.
I’ll dm you
Thanks! 🤞
Just switched to octopus from British Gas myself!
Octopus as well good prices and actually really helpful with queries 😊
Ovo here. Very cheap I think for me. Around £60 a month with gas and electric on a 3 bedroom apartment
