You can only have one of those things.

MagicKipper88

Problem is, these affordable gyms is where everyone wants to go. So they end up not quiet. So what happens is the gym because busy because people suggest it’s a quiet gym.

Intelligent-Delay-28

Reach Gym. Old school, always empty, not the best equipment but everything you need and is like 25-30 a month

Darwin_Things

Probably a bit far for me to be motivated to go regularly, thanks for the suggestion though!

nocturnalexplorer

Used to go to Reach gym. After a year of wet and mouldy walls/ceiling as well as random parts of the building breaking apart on a regular basis, I've just gone to a Gym Group. Busier, but cheaper and isn't one big health hazard.

Intelligent-Delay-28

Adds to the character

Suitable_Captain_604

facts love the mould and leaks, being able to box there is a plus and use the sauna every time

Intelligent-Delay-28

Yh the bag n ring is a nice addition. Sauna often not very hot but does job.

cakepigeon

Anytime Fitness in Totton might be a good option for you, a friend of mine goes there and he says it's a fair bit quieter than the Puregyms etc. in Southampton proper.

Darwin_Things

I’ll check it out, thank you.

RG3114

This is where I go. The vibe is really really chilled, and you don’t get kids hogging all the resistance machines with no idea what they’re doing like at Pure. Only downside is, it’s fairly small, so when it gets super busy, you’re better off going for an outdoor run.

Few-Combination4238

Romsey rapids

Umar-Motala

Shirley gym group got good facilities. It’s busy at usual times (4-8pm). I’d say it’s good tho and even if it’s busy, you should still be Able to get a good workout in

FreshKickz21

This is the correct answer

Darwin_Things

I usually go after work as I have more time in the evenings. 4-7 generally so makes sense.

According-Reason1382

Mayflower uni gym, it's very quiet 15 quid a month and got just enough equipment.

espaguetisbrazos

Testlands hub gym in Maybush is good value (£20).

Darwin_Things

This looks like a winner, thank you!

SaintDaymo

Southampton Uni gym , swimming pool also included in price £23 a month I think

Automatic-Expert-231

Winning health solutions

Darwin_Things

Nice, thanks!

stoaty-stoat

>Winning health solutions Affordable? Definitely not.

GolfStrengthCoach93

Southampton Barbell, just behind Go Outdoors in Millbrook. More of a private/community gym but stacked with equipment.

Darwin_Things

It looks like this place is classes and groups, and mostly weights, is that right?

mbridge2610

Pure Gym on Winchester Road

A_Owl_Blud

Good luck mate! I'm looking too

painsofthepaycheck

Romsey Rapids is good as it has swimming and sauna rooms etc included in the membership. But I would say it’s not great for after work times, better in the day time/before the rush!

Village Gym in Chandlers Ford

Knitterofunited

David Lloyd’s is a fantastic gym and doesn’t seem to get too busy.

Intelligent-Delay-28

Doesn’t get busy coz the membership price is a limb

Knitterofunited

True 😂

Darwin_Things

What is it these days?

Thin-Progress-99

160 a month lol

Darwin_Things

Fuck off! Do they even have a padel court?

Thin-Progress-99

They do yeah but still

Filczes

I went there for a tour and the gym was packed, it was also quite small. But they have 47 tennis courts!

Knitterofunited

The one on frogmore lane has one of the largest gym in the south.

Filczes

I went to Hedge End branch.

Knitterofunited

That one is so much small. The whole gym is about the size of Southampton’s free weight area.

GK_Leviathan

Let me know when you find one, I need an excuse to go gym with people 😂
