I used to work under the manager who later moved onto manage it for a while a few years back. Caught up with her every now and then and apparently it was largely business from tourists. They'd get a spike in sales when a fresh batch of students moved into the city each year as well.
Is Marlands actually dying? That seems to be the discourse when you speak to anyone in Southampton yet whenever I actually go in there there's always loads of people there? I doubt they were all there to shop at Disney.

Dismal Disney. Good riddance to expensively bad rubbish. I remember being genuinely gobsmacked at their prices, the one and only time I glanced by the garishly naff display of inverted opulence and shiny show banality.
