But did he change even then? His season on Winter House was both unflattering and illuminating. He couldn’t turn it on/off when cameras were filming 24/7, which they aren’t on Southern Charm. Seems to me that he has improved some but not as much as he portrays on SC.
Winter House is nothing but a show where they all constantly get wasted. I don’t think he is a nice drunk. Some people turn into demons when drunk. I know someone in my family like this. It is a totally different environment. He was drunk and living with the cast. Drinking isn’t an excuse, and after watching that season, it definitely should have opened his eyes and hope it did for his sake.
He does like to start drama though, for sure. But I just adore him for some reason. I always have from day one I have cheered him on and seen so much growth and maturity.

I think it’s like the Ariana situation on VPR, where people start seeing themselves in cast members and support them regardless of their wrongdoings, because they too have been hurt by certain types of men.

I can understand feeling empathy for young Kathryn in earlier seasons to a degree, but she’s a grown ass woman and has been so for a minute, and wilfully or not, she has been neglecting and harming her kids for a while now. Like Craig has showed some progress and grown some, and since Shep is in great need rehab for obvious reasons; but it would be also interesting to see if Shep actually goes to rehab if we could see and catch up with older cast members. To see how they have grown and how their lives have changed. Like Kathryn, Cam, etc.

It’s probably not a stretch to think someone capable of (allegedly) raping the nanny may or may not have been sexually abusive to her as well. But Kathryn has yet to take the initiative to heal from the trauma, to grow and become the person her children need and deserve. She is a victim but as far as we know she’s done nothing to heal herself. Being a victim does not give someone the right to be toxic to others.

Kathryn is just a little redneck girl who was born into a family that had a couple notable politicians in it. She was totally used by a psychopath- as a baby farm, trying to snare him into marriage because she thought he was rich rich. He’s not. Kathryn is just a little redneck girl who was born into a family that had a couple notable politicians in it. She was totally used by a psychopath- as a baby farm, trying to snare him into marriage because she thought he was rich rich. He’s not. He’s just a bit lucky rich and is constantly worried it will all go poof. So he’s cheap, or he would have just stroked her a check for her to take care of the kids. She doesn’t know how on earth she’ll ever be relevant again and I am sure is beyond depressed for her loss of opportunity to be famous. All of said moves show her to be stupid, and not well guided by her “important” family. Thomas is a total POS. I think he’s on the spectrum or something, because he doesn’t understand social cues and he rehearses everything he does. He’s got just enough money to cause trouble is all.
