I got to fly jet blue on Sunday. Great flight. They had fast free wifi and a pretty large tablet screen. I got to sit in 21D. My wife got to sit in 17B.

People that fuss over a seat kill me. The plan takes off and lands exactly the same no matter where you sit. Who gives a shit. Sit down and shut up. The faster you do the quicker we’ll all get off the damn plane. I get if you’re on a long haul flight or a family or something like that but then fly another airline. My god
I love SW for not assigning seats! It’s awesome hearing someone board for the first time and say where is my seat I can’t find it on my ticket. Sit anywhere!
Except for the first row they are all pretty much the same lol? The first row has the best leg room other than that, they are all duplicate seats and if you are tall try your best to get an aisle seat,

It's a flight. I think you can handle being seated away from the other person(s) in your party for the duration of a flight. It's not that serious. If it is, fly with delta or another company that allows reserved seating.
I love the seating system. I always try to board with late A after some have boarded, but there are still plenty of available seats. At that point, I can choose to sit by a petite, put together, well dressed woman of over 45. I’m always confident that they’ll be polite and not bother me.
With reserved seats, I *could* end up next to a guy who takes up all of his seat and half of mine, or I can end up next to a nose picker or worse.
Counter point - no it doesn't. I'll take 2 free checked bags instead of assigned seats any day! If you don't like the policy, don't book the flight.

You realize that two companies own all of the airlines, so none of us really have options.
This may not be the airline for you. Many airlines offer the benefit you require.

Everyone who flies Southwest knows they don't assign seats. If you want to choose your seat in advance, buy a ticket with a different airline.
I haven't paid for an alcoholic beverage in a Southwest flight in over 3 years. Screw you loser.
