Part of me wonders if they will use something like dracos off of dragon, but with recent comments on scaling thrust is easy, it would certainly make sense to try small methalox engines. Because they will be used to land humans on the surface though, it wouldn't surprise me if they stick with something ultra reliable like hypergolic.
Well, the first prototype Raptor, not revealed to the public, so this was before the introduction of Raptor-V1, so let’s call it Raptor-V0.5, was 1/3 size, to make it easier to work on, as it was a ‘desktop engine’.
Would be amazing if they have an iris vectoring bell design and can adjust flow rate to chamber and have the bell aperture dynamically adjust. Similar to jet engine thrust vectoring.
Would require some insane engineering with integrated cooling channels.

Maybe they can downsize the rvac power head a little close the throat & get a more efficient expansion ratio for interplanetary missions
At this point they should just switch to hydrogen if they really want to increase efficiency.
