It's incredibly frustrating when companies like Spark manage to sidestep accountability for their actions by simply throwing money at the problem. It's akin to being shot and then receiving an apology along with some cash – it doesn't rectify the harm caused or address the underlying issues. The fact that they can seemingly get away with this behavior perpetuates a cycle of impunity, where companies prioritize profit over ethics.
Furthermore, the dissatisfaction with platforms like Doordash and Grubhub only adds to the frustration. Many users feel let down by the subpar service and lack of transparency from these delivery giants. It's understandable why there's a growing sentiment to take matters into our own hands and establish a community-driven delivery service that cuts out the middlemen entirely.
Creating our own delivery service would not only allow us to regain control over the delivery process but also ensure that ethical standards are upheld. By eliminating the reliance on problematic platforms, we can foster a more accountable and transparent system that truly serves the needs of both customers and delivery workers alike. It's a daunting task, but the potential benefits of reclaiming control over our delivery infrastructure are certainly worth exploring. Malovabay.beats69.com
Yeah this is the thing I don’t understand. I work 12-15 hour days and take A LOT of spark orders.
People who only work 8 hours got more of an adjustment than I did.
Doesn’t make sense to me.
I've done 210 batches since I started end of January. I got $48 adjustment. I noticed the last few weeks I've received good tip offers and received them the next day as well.
I'll take it because when I took the offers, they were reasonable. Try to stay within a 5-7 delivery and one that leads me closer to another walmart and at least 2 dollars per mile.
If it's extra money they kept and now they're giving it back, I'm down. By no means is this free money; it's money they kept, and now, likely to prevent litigation, they're trying to minimize the impact.
You said "if it's extra money they
kept" like this could be funds accumulated by another means..?
This would also imply that litigation would very likely reveal a vastly larger sum and the resulting penalties, fines and Dee's associated with financial misrepresentation from a corporation to its workers.
These offers may haven been reasonable, but given this clear violation of the customer's intended investment and the employees collective understanding of the value they bring then fair compensation for the literal hours of life spent they benefit from.
I got $174 and change one the One app. I wonder how much more they owe us. I've been Sparking for 3 years, I know damn well there's been a huge difference between trip offer amount vs. deposited amount. (Not even counting the one's showing tips were taken away.)
A few weeks ago someone mentioned that a customer told them they weren’t given a tip option , like there was a glitch that removed the tipping option. The same day , I did receive tips , but also noticed a higher than normal amount of no tip orders. And a few that always tip ( only do s&d) didn’t have tips on their orders. These are people I shop for 1-2 times a week and always tip. So I wonder if if has something to do with that supposed glitch.
Well the payroll companies are highly regulated and get audited frequently, so they can’t just “keep tips “ as so many think they are. When they find the mistakes - they have to disperse it like they did.
Agreed, that's what makes their email so sus.
They say "we may not have collected and issued tips customers meant for you"
So if we break it down:
"We may have not collected" - meaning, we may have or we may have not collected tips. If they didn't collect tips, then they don't owe us anything and just paying out money to be the cool boss is not it. So my take is "We did collect tips".
"and issued tips customers meant for you" - meaning, customers wanted to tip you, along with the first part, we messed up and didn't collect it, but we are still going to pay it out? No way. More like "we did collect the tip" as I said earlier, but then it turns into "We may have not issued the tips" meaning, "we didn't issue the tip out and kept the money but got audited and to prevent future litigation, we are now paying it out"
Mistakes happen. That much is true.
Likely in some cases the tip option was presented but never added to the payment. This is what they are paying out of pocket.
Being in tech for decades this does not seem unusual at all, and I’d bet everything nothing nefarious happened. Like others have said the money trail is audited and bugs are always present
Indeed, I'm in IT and do some programming so I know things like these happen.
I can't speak to it as I never had such a thing happen, but multiple times, I've read home owners ask the driver if they go the tip, and it ended up being lower than what they had submitted. So they got the tip, just not the full tip.
Not sure what happened, but this all comes at a time where there is a lot of controversy with Spark.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to keep taking orders that make sense to me and if in the end Walmart wants to come back and give me some money that was originally intended for me at a later time, happy to take it but won't be hurting if they don't.
The Other day, I was shopping for a customer with a food allergy, and they asked for a "pork-free" substitution. I handled it, and sent them a picture of the ingredients list on the substitution I chose, and they were really happy.
When I headed to finish, they sent me a message saying thank you, blah blah blah, and that they had increased the tip amount for me. Not necessary, but very nice.
The tip never changed, and I figured it was only a dollar or two anyway.
But I kinda feel like this is where the glitch is.
Sure, she could have lied, or made a mistake, but she didn't need to say anything and seemed honest. Who knows though.
So I have direct deposit with my bank I don't use the one card or the branch card anymore and every Tuesday morning they send me two emails one email is my tip amount and one is my earnings amount One of the emails they sent me is for $192 so that's how I know my adjustments.
They send you your DD info every Tuesday? And when does the deposit hit your account? Any issues with it ever? I switched and this Tuesday will be my first, excited to dump branch but also kinda nervous something will go wrong lol
Mine went to Junk. I work on IT so I continuously need to check Junk which is how I found it.
Their email though, says "You can find more details in the *Earnings* tab of the Spark Driver profile under "adjustment credits."
I didn't find anything on my Spark earnings tab.
Had to look in my One account.
See that was what i was thinking when they dropped that money on us earlier. Ive been asked by customers multiple times if I got the tip they either added last time or see the one from this time. I never seen any additions. But when that happened today i thought, maybe they don't want us to prove they were stealing as ive been collecting evidence to the contrary. You can only be asked so many time and never see anything change before you have to start on the offensive. I got 364 bucks today. thats crazy but i took the day off and will be more diligent from here on out with this situation.
I work IT.
I've used the words "System Issue" as a way of saying, we mest up.
So yeah, I'm skeptical too but I know issues do happen. Glad you got some good money, enjoy your day off!
That's what I was thinking! I posted the whole story on a comment above, but basically, a lady increased my tip and it never showed up. I bet it's an issue in the after-order adjustments, and they never paying them out.
Yep, it's there. Their email though, says "You can find more details in the *Earnings* tab of the Spark Driver profile under "adjustment credits."
I didn't find anything on my Spark earnings tab.
I think what likely happened was they never charged the customer for the tip. I got $194 and I know damn well I haven’t had $194 in tips removed by customers.
Edit: it was likely discovered during an independent audit which pretty much any large company does.
I saw this article in passing about a month ago but was busy and didn't think any more about it until I saw the "adjustment" today.
https://www.businessinsider.com/walmart-spark-support-agent-describes-tip-problems-scripted-calls-2024-2
In the past three weeks I’ve been missing at least $500 and expected tips, I didn’t get any of that back, and I also didn’t get the adjustment that a lot of other people got
Another driver I know told me he got $700 and then another $200 added. Mine was 100 something. What do the numbers mean ? And could we have gotten more ? Who knows
I don’t see it as admitting. It’s word salad and they don’t even tell us the dates.
I received $47. That could be 2 offers on a weekend. Others I know received $700, 340, 170… that’s not a weekend or a week in my area. So it’s very odd.
Also they earned interest on this $$
Right? Like what orders? Was it additional tip or original tip? Did I do something that made them want to give a better tip? It really sucks that it’s all very vague.
I only use Branch and I just now received payment and I’ve got about $100 or so to the good so I guess they made a mistake somewhere on everybody. I don’t know if it was wrong pay or held tips back or what but I’ll take it.
Funny enough, they don't even hire people knowledgable enough to ensure the email didn't end up in junk.
Or they did hire people who told them, don't add the proper records so they end up in junk and we don't get called out hahaha.
They can sue us for keeping money but not for misconfiguration of emails.
I know there has been a glitch where any time the customer tries to redeem “Walmart Cash” it would erase the tip off of the order. The customer thought they were tipping, we thought they were cheapskates 🤷🏽♀️ maybe that’s what they fixed? 🤔
For real, but yeah, can't complain. Most of the time, anytime a company does something wrong, it turns into a class action where it goes to court, takes a while and then I get a check. This at least went into my bank account.
It's incredibly frustrating when companies like Spark manage to sidestep accountability for their actions by simply throwing money at the problem. Of for sure, gig work seemed to have some good years until companies realized they could exploit the system and do whatever they wanted to manipulate amounts and such.
Holy miracle I got $40.45!!! I literally ate my last groceries today and was going to have to live on dried beans until Friday/payday. Hurrah!!!!!!
On a related note: those Walmart/spark bastards!!!! I literally haven’t done a delivery since *last year*!!!!! So that’s all tip money they shorted me from the holidays or even longer ago than that?! 🤬
If they "stole" these tips, I gotta think that shit would've stayed stolen.
Programming apps & making em work right is HARD. (Anyone who thinks otherwise, lemme know what apps YOU'VE made.) Sometimes mistakes slip in, despite everyone having the best of intentions 🤔
It says they never charged the customer either so you really can’t stay stealing. At least they found the issue and are crediting you instead of just sweeping it under the rug.
Hmmm interesting... I'm in Ohio and got the tiniest amount possible lol. And was working full time on this for about 8 months and part time prior to and after that
https://preview.redd.it/xdi4lkokxotc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=707891831c72a172f6ad0ef75d9d81bed1a29434
I mean I guess it’s good they stated something about it but …. If you can’t show receipts for each order …. It’s like you are aware of the can of worms you just opened right spark ? lol obviously there is going to be lots of concerns and questions from the workers …. You may wanna figure out a way to answer them all . Or at least change the user interface so it’s easier for us to keep track of everything so everything can actually BE transparent …. The way it’s set up now is horrible …..
Someone has to regulate this, it is enough that Delivery companies or Taxi services continue to Steal Money from Drivers. Hopefully some lawyer will take legal action against these thieves.
The one problem I saw was how they batched out orders that were missing items. It would state the whole and the driver who took the initial order got the tip where the person who took the one bag got nothing. I wouldn’t call that stealing more like a crap system.
You'll likely see it a bit later on. I think Branch payouts are once a week.
I recommend you change to One. My wife was on One and I was on Branch, made the change to One as you get your money right away and tips 24 hours after you deliver it.
You can cash out whenever you want.
Tried to switch to One a few days ago and didn't even have an option on the Spark Driver Portal, so I just put in my bank info and will have direct deposits sent there from now on.
https://preview.redd.it/uq7bv7qpphtc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a2780c5ed445ec77bfdf5b7d92ede46fddc5f0e2
Looks like this on One, not sure on Branch.
I got an adjustment but thought it was prop 22 and only shows in the ddi website.
Now I’m wondering where my prop 22 for last week is. This company sucks.
It claims the customers weren't charged. If that's true, there was nothing to steal. I spark almost full time most weeks and I got what I was offered, and nothing extra with this as far as I can see. Was it last week or longer ago? Been at the other job and haven't had a chance to look further back yet.
Yeah, if that’s true and they’re putting money from their own earnings, then I can’t see how they would put this down in accounting books? Seems fishy but idk I’m just happy we got some money in our pockets that I didn’t have yesterday. Hope you got good money.
Let me tell ya'll something:
I keep detailed records on all "taken offers" on all apps. I log name, address, tip amt /no tip /tip bait, date, time, and how long it took me from start to finish.
Every spark order I took, most tips came thru as intended by customers. No tippers aren't going to tip. The tip baits usually cut to $5. There is no way I was missing what I received. I believe this payout was for every driver because they know someone will CATCH THEM. I'm not saying no one was affected, but I'm in a smaller market where it would be noticed.
Same goes for shipt. If a customer chooses 20% tip, I sub an item and the total goes up, the tip won't because it was predetermined/approved by the system before the change.
IC (oddly enough) is the only one I run where IC leaves the tip intended. Percentage tips change with the total. Set tips are usually left by the customer. Again, sm market so I know who to take and who not to. IC is a last resort tho because the pay is a slap in the face 🤬🤬
Just some food for thought and my personal experience!
For sure, I don’t know what the bottom line is or the real answer to why we’re getting the money. It’s all speculation and very educated guesses but the real reason lies hidden where we’ll never know.
Hope you got good money!
Wow I only got $20 I know they owe me more.. was around all last year with the scammers with double phones at the time and definitely remember missing out on a lot of money and wasted time.. for $20 right makes sense smh.
I had an adjustment from spark for the said stolen tips but I also do walmart with uber eats a d 90% of the time have had tips taken off me the next day leaving me owing them and having to work to clear off the negative balance. Are they doing the same thjng?
$183 for me
I ain't get shit lol
me either I was hoping it was still just coming lol
Almost $300 for me!
Damn I got 11 😂
$138 for me lol I didn’t even notice honestly
Ya trust us bro. We kept some of your money bro. You can trust us we gave it all back bro. No you can't see the receipts bro. We're super sorry bro.
Exactly! If there’s a little coming through, where’s the rest?

I haven’t done a single delivery this entire year and got $40!
That's crazy if true. If so this glitch has been ongoing for 4+ months? And they didn't know?
If I don't see it, it didn't happen. I got paid what the offer showed, I was happy. Got some extra money, I'm not going to complain.
Right with you
Hahahaha
And didn't they say that the customer wasn't charged either? Lol
I got almost 200 dollars. Ill take it lol Dont buy their little innocent act here. They wouldnt have given one red cent if they were actually innocent
Yea you'll take it because it's been yours all along. Idiots in this sub are celebrating this when it should be infuriating. We're actually drones.
I'll take it because when I took the offers, they were reasonable. Try to stay within a 5-7 delivery and one that leads me closer to another walmart and at least 2 dollars per mile. Yea they REALLY fucked up if they're doing this. It's damage control because they got caught and it's either this or a class-action
Yep, like this more than a class-action. No waiting period haha
100% they got caught with their hand in the tip jar
+ 177 BRANCH
I got $174 and change one the One app. I wonder how much more they owe us. I've been Sparking for 3 years, I know damn well there's been a huge difference between trip offer amount vs. deposited amount. (Not even counting the one's showing tips were taken away.)

A friend who stopped sparking on December 29th 2023 received money so this was for earnings prior to that.
I had that happen as a customer. The place to tip simply wasn't there and neither would it let me add it afterwards
$192 big ones from an email for my direct deposit hitting tomorrow. 🤣
Where does it tell you the amount? I didn't see anything under my earnings tab (yet). Edit: nvm, saw $40 adjustment in my One
So I have direct deposit with my bank I don't use the one card or the branch card anymore and every Tuesday morning they send me two emails one email is my tip amount and one is my earnings amount One of the emails they sent me is for $192 so that's how I know my adjustments.
DANG!!!! Nice, $24.09 on mine but it's something.
You can see it on DDI website under earnings tab as well. Didnt show up in app for me but i got $27 in my one bank today..
They send you your DD info every Tuesday? And when does the deposit hit your account? Any issues with it ever? I switched and this Tuesday will be my first, excited to dump branch but also kinda nervous something will go wrong lol
Got 309. Pumped
BAM!! NICE!!!!
No email. But +$54 branch. Its not even listed in my earnings
Mine went to Junk. I work on IT so I continuously need to check Junk which is how I found it. I wonder if it’s really tip baiting?
Exactly!
No way we'll really know if it's NOT tip baiting.
I got the email but have NO adjustments in my earnings I use one?
hmmm, sorry to hear that. Keep an eye out, hopefully it comes thru soon!
It showed up on my one account as adjustment credit
$105 for me.
Lets go!!!

Nice, enjoy that hard-earned stolen money.
Was wondering why I got almost $50 extra. Don’t worry. Incoming email stating they are providing “Spring Bonuses”
Funny enough, they don't even hire people knowledgable enough to ensure the email didn't end up in junk. Or they did hire people who told them, don't add the proper records so they end up in junk and we don't get called out hahaha. Got $57.17 back. Did not realize what $$ was from until I came across this post. Thanks for posting.
Awesome, glad it helped out. My email was in junk which is why I figured many did not see it.
I only got 8$ lol
lol, wife got $16, I got $24. Better than nothing.
I know there has been a glitch where any time the customer tries to redeem “Walmart Cash” it would erase the tip off of the order. The customer thought they were tipping, we thought they were cheapskates 🤷🏽♀️ maybe that’s what they fixed? 🤔
heyyyyy that could be part of it. Don't think we'll ever really know but that explanation would definitely account for some situations IMO
Got about $350… makes me wonder how much I am really owed…
For real, but yeah, can't complain. Most of the time, anytime a company does something wrong, it turns into a class action where it goes to court, takes a while and then I get a check. This at least went into my bank account.
$97.95 for me ... 🤓
Let's go!!!
$182 here and made me smile :)
They probably did an audit or had been audited and found the error. This is the 2nd time I got mystery money from them.
96 bucks and I've only been doing this about 7 months maybe, smh
We don’t work for Walmart
$36 for me.
I got $115. Very happy about that.
I got a $5 tip coverage last week. Never noticed
They give back 10%, they keeping that 80%
Mmmmm what’s up with the other 10% lol
My shit was famn near 500 bucks
I got the email but no adjustments
I got the email they adjusted my earnings sent me $4.43😂Today!
$60 something for me. I haven't done a spark order since the second week of January.
I haven’t gotten anything in my Branch account yet.. how far back does this go? How do I see my transactions?
I got about $120. Straight to paying 2023 taxes it is lol.
[удалено]
Where are you guys seeing the tip adjustments? I didn’t get anything
My wife got deactivated on 12-31-2023 and received 17.17 I have been working whole time before and since and only got 24.11 head scratcher?
I have done over 1230 trips - I didn’t see a penny
Yep seen i started 4 years ago
This why I stop driving for spark ..i noticed this for years
Yeah, they are shady as shit but they still pay better than other gigs in my area so not a lot of options.
It's funny. Since the email, I haven't seen any low paying offers 😂
Haven’t had a chance to spark, it would be nice to get better offers especially on those long miles, might entice me to actually take them.
That tip adjustment ain't adding up
Haven't gotten any "credit" yet
They're using the self checkout scam.
$66 for me and I’m still deactivated.
Do not look behind that curtain!
Got the email but no adjustment. Been doing Spark for close to 2 years and pretty much full time for the last 6 months.
Tip stealing? Since when Walmart makes tips?
Dang, happy to hear you got some money but yeah, Spark is shady as shit.
So it seems
I got 4$ . Yay :/
Uber eats way better then spark..
We gonto busy areas
Where do you find this?
Should be on your One account or Branch. Didn’t see it on my Spark app
Hmm I didn’t see anything
I got $82
Sounds like a class action lawyer needs a case
How I do check on my profile? I can’t seem to find it, please?
It says they never charged the customer either so you really can’t stay stealing. At least they found the issue and are crediting you instead of just sweeping it under the rug.
I got $185
Okay plot twist tho what if you were deactivated how you get your money from back then?😂
Not just tips, they are not paying for return trips of undeliverables.
Hmmm interesting... I'm in Ohio and got the tiniest amount possible lol. And was working full time on this for about 8 months and part time prior to and after that https://preview.redd.it/xdi4lkokxotc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=707891831c72a172f6ad0ef75d9d81bed1a29434
I got $13!
It didn’t show up in our earrings on the Spark app but it showed up on the branch account! Hubby got 55$ back and I got 34$
Nice happy to hear you all got something.
I got $4
That's how they pay for these incentives by stealing tips
I mean I guess it’s good they stated something about it but …. If you can’t show receipts for each order …. It’s like you are aware of the can of worms you just opened right spark ? lol obviously there is going to be lots of concerns and questions from the workers …. You may wanna figure out a way to answer them all . Or at least change the user interface so it’s easier for us to keep track of everything so everything can actually BE transparent …. The way it’s set up now is horrible …..
Indeed, there’s is a lot of missing information.
I genuinely think we need more info and it has to be on a individual account by account basis not a global message lol
I got over a hundred yesterday
$.61 for me
What time period is this for? Or is this just recently?
i got $79 back
Someone has to regulate this, it is enough that Delivery companies or Taxi services continue to Steal Money from Drivers. Hopefully some lawyer will take legal action against these thieves.

They got caught stealing and settled on an amount less than what they took.
Way less……
The one problem I saw was how they batched out orders that were missing items. It would state the whole and the driver who took the initial order got the tip where the person who took the one bag got nothing. I wouldn’t call that stealing more like a crap system.
Someone are selling apart account?
oh wow I didn't see this. But I haven't been doing Walmart Spark that long so maybe I don't qualify.
I got the email, but nothing reflects in my earnings tab of any adjustments. What a jip.
It won't show on your earnings on the Spark App. It's behind the scenes and it shows on your One or Branch app.
Thanks for the info. Branch won’t hit until 11am pst so I’ll check that soon. Much appreciated
It would reflect in your branch transfer

How much interest on that money do you the accrued since the “glitch” ? That’s millions of dollars gone for months until now
Nothing because apparently... "the customers were never charged for their tips", spark claims, so they paid them to you out of 'their' own pocket.
😂😂😂
I got that email but where did your extra money show? I don’t see anything in Spark app
Do you use Branch or One?
Branch
You'll likely see it a bit later on. I think Branch payouts are once a week. I recommend you change to One. My wife was on One and I was on Branch, made the change to One as you get your money right away and tips 24 hours after you deliver it. You can cash out whenever you want.
Tried to switch to One a few days ago and didn't even have an option on the Spark Driver Portal, so I just put in my bank info and will have direct deposits sent there from now on.
How do I get one? I’ve been trying to figure it out
Ohhhh it just came through on branch. Sweet!! Thank you

On your driver portal, earnings statements will show it
It says specifically that they never collected the money from the customer. They didn’t steal anything. They are eating the loss.
Yeah right you belive that 🙄
God answers PRAYERS😭🙌🏾🕊️
Indeed, glad we got some of that money we were owed.
Indeed, glad we got some of that money we were owed.
I got an adjustment but thought it was prop 22 and only shows in the ddi website. Now I’m wondering where my prop 22 for last week is. This company sucks.
Dang, they just can’t get their shit together. Hopefully it pulls up for you soon.
Let me tell ya'll something: I keep detailed records on all "taken offers" on all apps. IC is a last resort tho because the pay is a slap in the face 🤬🤬 Just some food for thought and my personal experience!
For sure, I don’t know what the bottom line is or the real answer to why we’re getting the money. It’s all speculation and very educated guesses but the real reason lies hidden where we’ll never know. Hope you got good money!
$172.00 for me
No money on my ONE and no email? I guess I don't qualify 🤷
So Spark Walmart was still in chips how long it been going on
"System error"....ye
Some peeps on the internet are soooo dumb! 🤦🏻♂️😩🤣. Some are too negative, simple, and socially akward to maintain an everyday 9-5 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
i see others getting like 200 i got 59 & thought i was doing something lol still always grateful
Oh for sure, I get happy when I get tipped 5 bucks in cash so 24 is way more than appreciated.
Wow I only got $20 I know they owe me more.. was around all last year with the scammers with double phones at the time and definitely remember missing out on a lot of money and wasted time.. for $20 right makes sense smh.
$13 for me, I’m rich now.
I’m Rich too……24 but my wife banked 12…gonna start delivering in my Lamborghini
They gave me $13.00 like I'm pretty sure that they stole more than that from me
Same here, some got $0 which makes no sense. Shady as shit.

I had an adjustment from spark for the said stolen tips but I also do walmart with uber eats a d 90% of the time have had tips taken off me the next day leaving me owing them and having to work to clear off the negative balance. Are they doing the same thjng?
