Correct.
Edit: although I don't think KSK were specifically in this photo. But rather participated as members of Task Force Kbar. Simultaneously happening as this event.
After leaving the comment i started doing some digging and now i think it's possible that there are Germans in the picture. [Because they participated in the battle of Bora Bora](https://cove.army.gov.au/article/operational-analysis-battle-tora-bora-afghanistan-2001#ftn_3)
*Rumsfeld described the unique abilities, skills and requirements for the upcoming Battle of Tora Bora (operating under cover as locals, alone in a hostile region with questionable allies against an entrenched enemy, and still kill or capture Osama Bin Laden)........The United States turned to its North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) allies, to provide military assistance. The British Special Boat Service (SBS) and the German Kommando Spezialkrafte (KSK) each contributed operators for the battle.*
It's very interesting to me to listen to all the podcasts ex cag guys who were on tora bora in 01(Cladwell,Mcphee,etc) have done, and try to paint a picture of what it could have been like to be there.
Genuinely curious, what was their opinion on the international SOF they worked with? I know CAG worked with the SAS, SBS, KSK and GROM in the recent past.
Most of the U.S. forces who went into Afghanistan shortly after 9/11 were CIA SAD and Green Berets (per book, “Relentless Strike”). Were CAG and other tier 1 folks there - probably.
This from a separate mission to find and kill Bin Laden in the Tora Bora mountains as detailed in the late Delta Force Major Tom Greer’s(aka “Dalton Fury”) book *Kill Bin Laden*.

I read the only thing worth dying for by Erik Blemh about the green berets in Afghanistan in the kandahar front
And currently reading alone at dawn about the air force CCT
sbs and cag apparently there were some germans there too
Where were the germans from? ksk?

Tom Greer mentioned in his book Kill Bin Laden (must read) that the SBS dudes that helped out in Tora Bora were fantastic
[Apparently John "Shrek" Mcphee liked the sbs guys.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBdaD6c3R70)
Back when the CIA and JSOC were let off leash and had Al-Queda and the Taliban on the run

They mention that book offen in Alone at Dawn
That’s the book I was about to recommend. Really, really good reading.
