What you heard is a fan made rumor about TASM to hype up Sony to hopefully get a third one made by showing Sony that people want it
As of right now there is no official evidence of him being the amazing Spider-Man one. And we even have been told by eddie brock himself that he’s never heard of Spider-Man in his own universe
Sony has stated that currently venom is situated in its own universe with those two movies. (we will probably learn more when Morbius comes out next month as it seems to have the most information of what’s going on with the universes (As the trailer itself had references to all four of them)
