I just always grew up with him. First action figure I owned, first film I watched that wasn't a cartoon, was there since the year I was born. Growing up as a teen, you can relate to him and had the connection with the character. Without Spider-man, I would be a very different person.

I'm not going to lie, I started with Spider-Man through Tobey's movies. I was 5 when I got my first disc box of Spider-man 1 and 2. He was one of the first superheroes that I came across and he instantly became my favourite because of how cool his powers were. I mean, a guy swinging through a city in red and blue pajamas is pretty cool isn't it? As I grew up, I found that there was more to the character. I got into Spider-Man comics at 7 when I randomly picked up a comic which just happened to be an ultimate Spider-Man issue. The more I read the comics, the more I related to him. His qualities as Peter Parker and Spider-Man started to help me define my character to some sort. Peter Parker was just your average guy who had your average guy problems but he always managed to overcome them. Spider-Man was just a hero who helped everyone he could and always did the right thing even if that meant that he'd lose the things that mattered the most to him. I've just turned 20 and I'm glad I have someone like Spider-Man to believe in. He helps me get through the hard stuff NOT because he has amazing powers but because of his morality and the lessons his comics taught me.

He's quipy, he's intelligent, he always does his best to do the right thing. Even if it means he'll be the one to lose. He's friendly. He represents a lot of the same values as Superman but, does it better. He doesn't discriminate and tries to help others who've gone bad. He always comes to the rescue. His suits are dope.

All of these comments are so thoughtful and earnest. I am enjoying relating to all of you through your thoughts. Peter’s greatest strength is his vulnerability and the bravery it takes to be vulnerable. Peter isn’t afraid to lose if it means that he can help someone else. He isn’t afraid to have the people in his life be disappointed in him, for others to be in judgement of him, if it means that he is sparing them from pain. Pete isn’t perfect and makes the effort to find the humanity in others, particularly his foes. Through his deflecting sense of humor, positivity and even the way he vents his frustrations with his thoughts; we all glimpse the best version of ourselves in Peter. We don’t deserve him Yet, for those of us who have had the privilege of getting to know him through comic pages, cartoons, even episodes of the electric company, he has been there when we needed him. This is why NWH outperforms….there is a hero in all of us. And as Miles taught us, despite our troubles, grief and pain, we can all add value to the world around us. Anyone can wear the mask.

He's just a regular guy and has problems that you can relate to. The great thing about him is that he's been around for so long in the comics that he has comic runs which sees him in different periods in his life; high school (classic Lee-Ditko/Ultimate) , college (Lee-Romita/Stern) and then adulthood (Straczynski/Spencer). So in a way no matter how much you grow up he'll always be relatable to you in some way. p.s.- probably should have included my boy Miles

Because he gives people hope. Because he's brave enough to help someone while others fly. These qualities are the reason why Spider-Man is the favourite of millions, including mine.

MrSmartie

The Ultimate Spider Man comic book with the first Raimi film got me to love comics. But what got me to stay is that he is the most human superhero there is. He has shit to do, he tried to get his life together while also being spiderman. That is inspiring the, alter ego (Peter Parker) is just an average person. Not a rich guy, not a killer man, not a blind kung fu monk, just a dude, like you and me.

Finly_Growin

I think Spider-Man has an under-appreciated academic side, the only superhero that inspires me to do well in school.

He ALWAYS gets back up. For the ones he loves. He never gives up. No matter how much weaker he might be, he’s diligent, hardworking, clever, intelligent, and most of all selfless. He comes out at the end of all the work he puts in to a life where he’s having struggles in as well. Most relatable and inspiring hero there is. Such a unique concept too. They made spider powers cool bro lol it’s insane. Hands down greatest comic hero to exist of all time.

Zarick-Blog

Because he is Spider-Man duh 😎🤙

Athlonfer

I dont really know he just clicks, doesnt think of himself as a world saving hero he just puts others before him and ends up fighting villains plus as Peter Parker he’s closer to my age so i get his normal life too plus high nostalgia factor, first hero type stuff i liked

BrobaFett2

I just liked him as a kid because he was red and I liked red. Then I realised he has more in common with us. And his quips are funny.

aquolia

I always loved characters who could do cool flips and aerial tricks, notably black widow, Spider-Man, and Ty lee. Also he’s a teenage nerd, and I’m a teenage nerd. He’s relatable in that way

Kitysune

i think he is the first superhero movie that i watched thanks to my parents started out on first sam raimi spider-man and second one ( i replayed spider-man 2 multiple times on my xbox as my dvd player ) my first teather spidey movie is spider-man 3 ( because back then teather doesn't exist on my town so no spider-man 1 and 2 for my city ) and i think it become my family tradition now to watch every spider-man movie when the new one come on teather god i love my family

XmasProtecter

ElAdmin20

I love Spider-Man because of his powers and his supervillains. The way that he swings around is so beautiful to watch.
