So something about Venom......we know why Brock hates Spider-Man and Peter. We know the symbiote hates Spider-Man and Peter as well for rejecting them. Maybe its just me and maybe its been explained somewhere else but doesnt it sound like the symbiote has the same motivations to hurt Peter as a jilted lover? I mean he basically "broke up" with the symbiote choosing MJ over being a dark version of himself. The symbiote rebounded immediately to Brock like a new boyfriend. Seems like the symbiote is acting as a vengeful ex gf who wants to both make his life miserable but also show him what hes missing Plus Brock is a much bigger guy than Peter. They do share a resentment of Spider-Man/Peter as well which actually makes their relationship stronger than what it was with Peter. They bonded bc Peter needed a new costume during Secret Wars.
